Orange Graham Cake With Brown Sugar Glaze

- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose or unbleached flour shopping list
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (14 squares) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange peel shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 5 teaspoons cream or milk shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts shopping list
How to make it
- In mixer bowl, with mixer, cream butter, sugars
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition
- Combine dry ingredients in bowl, whisk
- Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, alternately with orange juice
- Add grated orange peel
- Stir in chopped nuts by hand
- Pour into a genrously greased, floured tube or Bundt pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean
- Cool upright in pan for about 15 minutes
- Invert onto cake plate or stand cooling completely
- BROWN SUGAR GLAZE
- In small saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons brown sugar, milk, and butter, just until melted
- Remove from heat
- Add powdered sugar, blending until smooth
- Drizzle over cake
- Sprinkle top with nuts
