Slow Cooker Cabbage Rolls

- 12 leaves cabbage shopping list
- 1 cup cooked white rice shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 pound extra-lean ground beef (or mix of ground pork and beef) shopping list
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil cabbage leaves 5 minutes; drain.
- In large bowl, combine 1 cup cooked rice, egg, milk, onion, ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Place about 1/4 cup of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf, and roll up, tucking in ends. Place rolls in slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over cabbage rolls.
- Cover, and cook on Low 8 to 9 hours.
- You can also put them in a glass baking dish. Pour a little sauce on bottom. Place rolls on top. Pour rest of sauce over rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
