Prune or Apricot Kolachky

- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk + 1/4 cup water ( or 1/2 cup milk) shopping list
- 5 Tbsp. melted lard or Crisco. Cool. (not hot ) shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 4 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- Filling: 1 lb prunes shopping list
- sugar to sweeten shopping list
- Filling : Solo canned apricot filling or any variety of choice shopping list
How to make it
- Mix altogether:
- sugar ,egg, milk, lard, flour, baking powder
- Mix and raise 15 min.
- Roll out dough.
- Cut into small squares or as big as you desire
- Fill small am't in center
- Pull each corner (4) to center & pinch corners to hold together.
- Bake @ 375 degrees in pre-heated oven-15 to 20 min. or until golden brown.
- To make prune filling;
- wash 1 lb. prunes
- Cover with cold water.
- Let stand over-night
- Boil until soft
- Sweeten to taste with sugar or use jar of solo prune filling
