Mock Tuna Alfredo Fettucine

- 12 oz uncooked fettucine shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1-2 cloves garlic minced shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups 1 % milk shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dried basil shopping list
- 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper shopping list
- 1 can of tuna drained shopping list
- 1/4 cup low fat sour cream shopping list
- 3/4 cup frozen peas, thawed shopping list
- 2 tdsp chopped parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Cook your fettucine until al dente. drain and return to pot
- While pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce!!
- Melt butter in a meduim saucepan.
- Add the garlic and saute for 1 minute
- Mix the milk and flour together in a small bowl until smooth
- Add to the garlic
- Increase heat to get a nice simmer and stir until bubbly and thickened about 4-5 minutes
- reduce heat to low
- stir in parmesan cheese, basil, salt and pepper
- cook for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted
- stir in tuna. peas and sour cream
- cook until heated through
