chinese hot and sour soup

- 1 tofu, julienned shopping list
- 1 cup of pork, julienned shopping list
- 1/2 cup of bamboo shoots, julienned shopping list
- 1/2 cup of Wood Ear mushroom, julienned shopping list
- 1 chilli pepper shopping list
- 7 cups of water or broth shopping list
- 1 tsp salt, or to taste shopping list
- 1 tsp granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs soy sauce shopping list
- 2 Tbs chinese rice vinegar shopping list
- 1 tsp sesame oil shopping list
- 1 Tbs cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1 spring onion, finely sliced shopping list
- 1 tsp of white pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Bring the water to the boil, add the pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, tofu.
- Stir in the salt, sugar, soy sauce and vinegar and sesame oil.
- cook for around 15 minutes, taste,
- Mix the cornstarch and water. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the soup, stir well, add in the beaten egg, stir again
- garnish with sping onion Serve hot.
