Pistachio Pastries

- 2c finely chopped pistachios shopping list
- 1/4c honey shopping list
- 1/4c butter shopping list
- 3c all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2tsp salt shopping list
- 11/2c cold butter shopping list
- 1/2c ice water shopping list
- 1c sifted icing sugar shopping list
- 1/2tsp vanilla shopping list
- milk shopping list
How to make it
- Filling: Melt butter, stir in honey and sugar then pistachio's. Set aside
- Pastry: Sift together flour and salt. Cut in butter until fine and crumbly. Add ice water and stir with a fork until just mixed. Form into a ball, cover with cling wrap. Chill about 1 hour.
- Roll dough very thin, cut with a medium round fluted cookie cutter. Place a small amount of pistachio filling onto each pastry circle. Brush edges with water. Fold over and press together.
- Bake at 375F until lightly golden, about 12 minutes.
- Glaze: Mix icing sugar and enough milk to make a thin glaze, add vanilla. Drizzle over slightly warm pastries.
