Sweet And Sour Meatballs

- 1 lb (500g) lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 cup (250 ml) soft, fresh bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 egg - beaten shopping list
- 2 tblspns (30ml) milk shopping list
- 2 tblspns ( 30ml) onion - minced shopping list
- 1 clove garlic - minced shopping list
- 1 tsp (5ml) salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ( 2ml) pepper shopping list
- 2/3 cup (150ml) Heinz Chili Sauce shopping list
- 2/3 cup (150ml) red currant jelly shopping list
How to make it
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C)
- Gently blend, beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt & pepper until combined
- Form into about 40 bite-sized meatballs
- Place meatballs on a foil lined, rimmed baking sheet
- Bake for about 20 mins, until cooked through
- Combine chili sauce & jelly in a saucepan & set over medium heat
- Cook, stirring, until the jelly dissolves, about 5 mins
- Add cooked meatballs to the sauce
- Reduce heat to medium/low & simmer for 10 mins
- Serve & watch them disappear.
