Spaghetti Sauce

- 6 - 28 oz cans diced or stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 6 - 28 oz cans tomato sauce shopping list
- 5 - 12 oz cans tomato paste shopping list
- About 1 bottle of italian seasoning shopping list
- 8 bay leaves shopping list
- garlic powder shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- 10 lbs hamburger shopping list
- 2 lbs onions shopping list
- bag of green peppers shopping list
- 4-5 pkgs presliced mushrooms shopping list
How to make it
- Put tomatoes, sauce, paste in large saucepan. Cover top with garlic powder and add 1/2 bottle of Italian seasoning. Throw in bay leaves. Cook on med-low. Do not bowl, just simmer. Dice peppers and saute in oil with salt and pepper, to taste. Cook most of the way then add to sauce without oil. Dice up onions and saute with salt and pepper until translucent then add to sauce. Dice mushrooms and saute, then add to sauce. Cook hamburger until cooked thoroughly. Drain and add to sauce. Add more seasonings to taste. Stir continuously so it doesn't stick to bottom. Simmer on low at least 3 hours (up to 5 hours).
