![]() A nice, unusual, quirky little movie set in France (WWII scenes), Ireland (post-WWII and present day, whenever that was supposed to be) and Texas. Not the kind of a movie I'd expect Matt Dillon to be in and he does seem out of his element, though he still seems like Laurence Olivier next to a near-catatonic Anne Parillaud. Very nice to see Gabriel Byrne play a kindly gent although he has nowhere near enough to do. Alan Pentony steals the movie as the younger version of the main character, played nicely by Corban Walker. bonus Dublin traffic: ![]() ![]() ![]() bonus American liberators in France: ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-08-18 15:14:25 (walter) |

Nice the "Santos green" 1979 VW Derby in the first thumb. Worth listing in my opinion. |
