Not sure I agree. The 1990s-2000s chryslers with the engine sludging and transmission failures were disgraceful.Most of the Intrepids I'd see in the used car ads had a bad engine or trans, or had them replaced. They often only had 50,000 miles.The Stratus was only slightly better. The 79 Chryslers were not well built, but I don't think they had the very expensive flaws the later ones did.The biggest problem with the R-bodies is that they were already outdated when they were new and the competition was more advanced. |
