Everything Spring
Wow, I'm on to Easter already and have about an hour before I need to pick up Max from school.
We had an Easter Egg hunt at our house and then headed to Grammy's for Easter Sunday Brunch. We had another egg hunt there with the Wetzel family. Wow was the Easter bunny good at hiding eggs this year! Max and Audrey are still finding old easter eggs in the back yard 4 months later.
Audrey is sad that she has to eat breakfast first before hunting for more eggs and eating more candy.
Kung Fu Fighting!
Max received his White Belt at Kung Fu. He was so exciting. By June he received his yellow belt and 4 badges. Way to go buddy! His favorite and hardest move is the preying mantis hook.
Simple Joys
Making Cakes for birthday parties has to be one of my favorite simple joys. I love being called the "cake maker" and gladly offered to make a chocolate strawberry cake for Larry's Brithday. The only problem was that I didn't stick it in the fridge long enough for the icing to set and get hard. Thankfully I took a picture before transporting the cake that fell apart in my lap on the drive to San Clemente. It still tasted good but looked like an earthquake had struck!
Another Simple Joy: Gardening
Here are a few pics of my garden in full bloom. Max and Audrey love to "help" me water the plants and look for caterpillars. Notice the tree. This used to be a small plant on my dresser when Josh and I lived in my in-laws garage almost 9 years ago. I got it from my cousin Burton's funeral. It's even taller now. I Love this tree and plan on taking it with me where ever our next home is. Good luck hunny moving it :-)
Blah, Blah, Blah, Blog
Yes, I haven't bloged FOREVER. I feel totally guilty. I did however make an amazing Shutterfly book of my trip to South Korea so that's covered. I guess I left off in April so that's where I will try to pick up. (btw, the only reason why I have time to blog right now is because I'm not too pukey sick from being newly prego and Max started FULL DAY school!---Audrey is watching a movie :-) )
When we got back from South Korea, just a few days later my Brother Ryan and sister in law Elise had TWINS! Baby Maia and JD are so cute and sweet. Yes, they are 4 months old already and Max and Audrey LOVE having baby cousins. They made these cute bears for them at build a bear.
Here they are at 4 months!

Korea, One word: AMAZING!
Ok, I seriously could blog about Korea forever---if I had that long. Entertaining, loving, feeding, helping, soothing, kissing, hugging, driving, teaching, disciplining, fixing, cleaning 2 kids (and a husband) somehow will not allow me the time to even reflect. So check out the pics on Facebook and maybe in the late hours of night/early hours of the morning I will get a chance to put a Shutterfly book together. Wish me luck Buddha!

Sunday Snow on Saddleback
Max Turns 6!
I find it hard to believe that my first baby boy is 6 years old! It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. Max is such a fun, loving, sweet, caring, silly and a smart boy. He is a great Big brother to Audrey. Some of the things Max does are:
-He writes me notes that say "I Love You Mom, From Max". He puts them in envelopes and occasionally slips them under my door as a surprise.
-Tells me I'm beautiful, nice and pretty.
-Loves me more, Loves me most and loves me to infinity and beyond.
-Sings songs to sister Audrey to help her fall asleep at night.
-Loves memorizing Maps and all the countries in the world. He told me recently that Australia is west of California!
-Puts post it notes all over the fridge of math problems like 10+5=15 and likes making his own calendars.
We celebrated his birthday by eating chocolate cake and having a Sunday party at Pat and Larry's and then a Monday party with our neighbors and Grammy and Papa. Some of the presents Max got are $ for his education/mission acount, tag books, a fish tank, clothes, a nerf gun, a money machine, candy, a dvd player and a race car track. Aunt Shannon even sent a package of pencils, a pencil holder, strawberry clips and a doll from South Korea. Max's birthday present from gma and gpa Proffit was a trip to see his cousin Barigit in Louisiana! He was gone for a week and had so much fun. He flew a plane to Texas and then had a connecting flight to Louisiana. He watched movies on his new dvd player, read Tag books, and even convinced a nice man to give him the window seat! Max is a great traveler. Once in Hammond, LA he celebrated Barigit's 6th b-day with her. They went to an alligator farm, a science museum and played lots of card games. Max had a wonderful time but Mom, Audrey and Dad missed him a lot. We are all excited he's back home in sunny California.
