Dream It....Do It - Bloggers Challenge Circles

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  The Challenge this week is Circles, use Circle Dies, stencils, shaped cards, circles on your pattern paper, there are endless ways to incorporate circles on your projects!

Don't forget you can enter to win a STAEDTLER Prize Package (retail value $60.00)!  Click here for details, TODAY is the last day to enter!

I incorporated circles on my Mixed Media card by using the Just a Trace Dottie Stencil on the background panel.

The background panel was created with the Gelli Arts Plate, Just a Trace Stencils and Deco-Art Mixed Media Paints.  The woman is the Eliza stencil from Just a Trace.  I applied Black Gesso over the stencil onto Card stock and pattern paper, so that I could do a little paper piecing.  To add a little pattern to her dress I used the Palazzo Stamp from JAT.

A Cake for You - Bloggers Challenge

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  Thanks to those who played along with the Paper Piecing Challenge!  The Challenge this week is Happy Birthday!

The cute image on my card is from Just A Trace, it is one of the MANY new sets they are debuting at Winter CHA in January!

I stamped the image in Ranger Black Archival, then paper pieced her outfit and cake with the coordinating papers that coordinated with the layered panels.  I used STAEDTLER Karat Watercolor Pencils to add additional color to her her, flowers, arms and legs.  To add interest to one of the pattern paper panels, I stamped the Palazzo image in Caramel ink.

Details:
Stamps - Just a Trace
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
Card Stock - Vanilla, Black, Pumpkin
Other - Ink Blending Tool, Silver Gems, We R Memory Keepers Pattern Paper, Silver Gems, Circle Dies, Gamsol, Blending Nibs, STAEDTLER Karat Watercolor Pencils

Fashionista - Bloggers Challenge Paper Piecing

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  Thanks to those who played along with the Howl at the Moon Challenge!  The Challenge this week is Paper Piecing.

I created a mixed media card using pattern paper along with stamps and stencils from Just a Trace.  I inked the stencil (Jeanne) on card stock and again on the pattern paper that I wanted to piece as her dress.  The background is a collage of torn pattern paper.  To accent the paper, I stamped the Pinwheel stamp in Black over areas of the Dottie stencil.

Details:
Ink - Ranger Black Archival, Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
Card Stock - Black, Olive, Vanilla
Other - Pattern Paper, Decou-Page, Just A Trace Stencils: Dottie, Jeanne, Just a Trace Stamps - Pinwheel, Ink Blending Tool

Howl at the Moon - Bloggers Challenge

Happy Bloggers Challenge Friday!  Sorry about my hiatus lately, life got a little busy, and my crafting got put on hold!  Thanks to those who played along with the Flowers Challenge, the challenge this week is Howl at the Moon (open to your interpretation).

I created Halloween Paperscape Box using the Black Cat Halloween Paperscape Box Card from Dreaming Tree.  They have some fabulous kits you can use with your electronic die cutting machines.  The Black Cat Halloween Paperscape Box Card also comes in a BUNDLE with two other Paperscape Halloween Box Cards!

I used paper from Graphic45 to decorate my Paperscape Box.  There's a cut out in the back of the box where you can add a battery operated tea light, and the box even folds flat so you can mail it!  This box went together super quick, after cutting the files with the Silhouette, I simply added a bit of sponging and the cut out pieces from the pattern paper, then adhered all my panels with Scor-Tape.

Details:
Card Stock - Pumpkin, Mustard, Black
Other - Silhouette, Graphic 45 Pattern Paper, Scor-Tape, Dreaming Tree Black Cat Halloween Paperscape Box Card
