VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., February 17, 2003- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson
underwent successful laparoscopic surgery today for the removal of his
cancerous prostate gland. According to his physician the surgery went
extremely well and he is alert, stable and in extremely good spirits.
"We are all very pleased with the success of the procedure. We
thank God for answering prayer and continue to pray for Pat's full recovery,"
said Michael Little, President and COO of The Christian Broadcasting
Network.
Dr. Robertson is expected to return to work in a few weeks to resume
his duties as Chairman and CEO of The Christian Broadcasting Network,
host of The 700 Club, and Chancellor of Regent University.
The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), based in Virginia Beach,
