Hailing from the Bronx, Kid from Kid N Play is a lifelong Mets fan - as evidenced by his shoulder tattoo! Kid constantly posts his support for the team on social media and loves talking smack about the Yankees.

A New York native, Awkwafina grew up in Forest Hills, Queens, and attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. Along the way to superstardom, the A-Lister picked up an affinity for the New York Mets.

Most recently she traveled to New York to see a mural of her late husband unveiled before the New York Mets played their game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field on April 15, 2018.

In 2016, legendary violinst Itzhak Perlman performed the national anthem at Citi Field with his violin, then he caught the game with fellow celeb John McEnroe.

In 2015, ex-New York Knicks first round pick and Latvian NBA superstar, Kristaps “The Porzingod” Porzingis was honored at Citi Field where he threw out the first pitch and watched his first ever baseball game.

A native New Yorker and good friend of fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld, some of Seinfeld's super-fandom must've rubbed off on Schumer as she's attended games and frequently donned Mets' gear over the years.

Hailing from Queens, Al Roker is a lifelong New York Mets fan. He can often be seen attending games and even threw out the first pitch once in 2017.

The Flash himself, Grant Gustin, grew up in Virginia where there wasn't a baseball team to root for, so he took on a casual fandom for the New York Mets. He still reps the team to this day.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter NE-YO performed at Citi Field on Saturday, August 15, 2015 as part of the Mets Postgame Concert Series. 

In Sharknado 2, Judah Friedlander, a New Yorker since the late '80s, played a rabid Mets fan who tries to survive a killer Shark/Tornado invasion/storm. In interviews, Friedlander mentioned he drew inspiration for his own real life fondness for the team.

Bloomberg was Mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013, so he spent time on both sides of the fence showing his fandom. Here he's pictured showing some love for the Mets.

“Well, they lost all the time. Every team I was on as a kid, in Little League, lost all the time. I started getting into baseball in 1962 when the Mets came around, and you know the 1962 Mets set the all-time record that still stands for the most losses in a season: 120. And the Yankees won the World Championship and the Mets outdrew the Yankees that year. Most people in the world can relate to losers more than they can winners. Because most people are not champions like Mickey Mantle was probably more people like [Ed] Kranepool or [Art] Shamsky or Mookie Wilson than Joe DiMaggio. I just struggled to be a mediocre player, just a regular guy, so the Mets were a natural attraction to me.”

Tim McGraw grew up for 11 years not knowing who his dad was, until one day, he found his birth certificate. The piece of paper revealed that he was the son of Tug McGraw, a major league relief pitcher for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. Over the years, the country music star and his father attempted to repair their relationship. In the end, McGraw grew to appreciate his father and shows respect for him by wearing a Mets cap in his honor.

A founding member of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, Michael Bivins was an integral part of the rise of hip hop music in New York in the '90s. Maybe he rocked the Mets top to bottom because of style, or maybe he rocked it because he was a true fan. 

Chuck D is a lifelong dedicated baseball fan, who grew up in Queens rooting for the Mets and despising the Yankees. He was particularly obsessed with baseball cards, and, in recent years, has taken to drawing not just old ballplayers from those cards but old stadiums from his youth, including a glorious drawing of the old Shea Stadium.

Jon Bon Jovi was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The lifelong NJ/NY native is a Mets fan for life and has even passed his Mets fandom down onto his son.

Prince Harry gave a small wave to the crowd as the announcer said, “Prince Harry, it’s your pitch!” The royal, then 26 years old, jokingly rolled his shoulder and prepared to throw the ball — then started laughing and took a deep breath to regain his composure. Then he wound up and released the pitch, which sailed just to the right of the plate but was an easy nab for the catcher.

Snooki rose to fame as a New Jersey icon, so it makes sense she would be a fan of the New York Mets. The reality star has attended multiple games over the years, flirting with players pregame in the dugout.

Born in Harlem, New York, when it came time for “Diddy” to chose his baseball team, the prolific rapper started rocking with the Mets. While rappers and fandom never tend to be diehard, Mr. Combs showing his love at any point means a lot.

Back in 2011, Mos Def was spotted representing the NY Mets in a sick Mitchell & Ness cardigan. A Brooklyn-native Mos Def has been cheering on the hometown team for decades.

Back in 2000, Brooks signed a contract with the Mets, and in return, they donated to his Touch 'Em All Foundation for kids. He wrapped up spring training without a long term deal but had fun along the way. His time with the Mets came after a stint with the San Diego Padres (1999) and before his time with the Kansas City Royals (2004).

Born on Staten Island, Ghostface Killah has shown respect for the team over the years. In 2022, Ghostface Killah had a day at the ballpark when he visited the New York Mets and hung out with the team owner Steve Cohen.

On “Iron Man 3" day back in 2013, Don Cheadle was at Citi Field to throw out the first pitch before the Mets took on the Phillies. The actor, who appears as Iron Patriot in Iron Man 3, took to the rubber to deliver the pitch to Mets catcher Anthony Recker.
