    Bunty Aur Babli, released in 2005, is an Indian Bollywood crime-comedy film directed by Shaad Ali and starring Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan stars in a supporting role. It was the first film to feature both Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan, and featured guest appearances by Aishwarya Rai and Tania Zaetta. It was one of the biggest hits of the year. The plot, although drawing on the idea of two rather lovable crooks, does not contain violence. In fact, each of the adventures of Bunty and Babli are thoroughly Indianised, like the fake selling of the Taj Mahal. It draws comparisons to the American classic "Bonnie and Clyde", however there are no dark elements to the film and the lead characters do not die a bloody death, unlike their American counterparts.

    Chandni is a 1989 Hindi film, starring Sridevi, Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna. It was directed by Yash Chopra. Chandni was a great success in 1989 and is one of the most successful films of the year. The profits of this musical brought an end to Chopra's lean phase. The platinum success of its music was also instrumental in bringing music back into Hindi films. For the cast, the film reaffirmed Sridevi's position as the top female star of the 1980s. It prolonged Rishi Kapoor's fading career and showed that he was still profitable as a leading hero. Chandni provided a boost for Vinod Khanna's career and reunited Kapoor and Khanna, who last performed together in the popular Amar Akbar Anthony. Sridevi's white costumes became popular as the 'Chandni Look,' and the songs of the film are still a rage. Though this was not the first time Yash Chopra shot a film in Switzerland; the extensive scenes shot there made it a popular tourist destination for Indians. Chandni won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film of that year.

Dhoom was the first action film produced by Yash Raj Films in 16 years, since Yash Chopra directed Vijay. It tells the story of motorbike gangs in Mumbai and the police officer who teams up with a motorbike dealer to stop them. Earning over 290 million Nett Gross in India, the film became one of the top-grossing Hindi films of 2004. It spawned a film series, with its sequel Dhoom 2, released on 24 November 2006, and Dhoom 3 released on 20 December 2013.

The film broke many records on its opening days in India and abroad. Box Office India declared Dhoom 3 "the biggest hit of 2013" after two days of release, the film went on to gross 4 billion worldwide in just ten days, to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in international markets. The initial international gross of Dhoom 3 was US$28 million—eventually breaking the record of 3 Idiots and making it the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in international markets.

Dil To Pagal Hai was a major commercial success, and garnered praise for its storyline and soundtrack. Additionally, the film won three National Film Awards and seven Filmfare Awards. The film has attained cult status over the years and is regarded as one of Chopra's best.

The film tells the story of a young non-resident Indian couple, Raj and Simran, who fall in love during a European vacation, and relates how Raj attempts to win over the Simran's family, so that the couple can marry, despite Simran's father having long ago promised her for his friend's son. It was filmed in India, London and Switzerland. Earning over 1.06 billion in India and 160 million overseas, it became the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year, and one of the biggest hits of all time in India. It won 10 Filmfare Awards, the most for a single film at that time, and won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The film's soundtrack was one of the biggest sellers of the 1990s, and songs from it are still popular at weddings. The film was able to connect with different segments of society by simultaneously promoting strong family values, and the following of one's own heart.

    Ek Tha Tiger is a 2012 Indian Romantic action spy thriller film, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. It stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and features Ranvir Shorey, Girish Karnad, Roshan Seth and Gavie Chahal in supporting roles. The film was the third collaboration of Kabir Khan with Yash Raj Films after Kabul Express and New York. The plot centers on an Indian spy code-named Tiger who falls in love with a Pakistani spy during an investigation and how Tiger's ideology and principles change over time. Pre-production of Ek Tha Tiger started in the second half of 2010 after the script had been completed. Principal photography commenced on September 2011 and ended in June 2012. The film was shot in five countries. Initially scheduled for a release on June 2012, the film's release was delayed and it opened on 15 August 2012, coinciding with India's Independence Day was holiday which celebrates on 65th anniversary to the marked. Critics gave Ek Tha Tiger generally positive to mixed reviews with most of the praises given for its action, cinematography and music.

The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. The film is loosely based on the 1989 romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally.... Hum Tum follows the encounters of the two main characters until they, after several years and various meetings, become friends and finally fall in love at the end of the movie. The comic characters Hum and Tum have their own animated sequences in the movie, where they represent the current state of Karan's and Rhea's relationship. The animation for this film was done by Kathaa Animations and the Special Effects by Tata Elxsi. The director Kunal Kohli has stated that the film "is inspired from the genre When Harry Met Sally... belongs to." The film was generally received well by critics, and special praise went to Khan's and Mukerji's performances. It won several Filmfare Awards, including Best Actress, Director, and Actor in a Comic Role. In June 2005, Khan won the National Film Award for Best Actor.
