Charles III (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the King of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms since his accession on 8 September 2022, following the death of his mother, Elizabeth II. As Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay from 1952 to his accession in 2022, he was the oldest and the longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
