Description:  ds up a line of power outside Santa Fe's Argentine, Kansas shops. The U30CG is basically a U30C, to which a wide carbody and a steam generator have been added, for use in passenger service. These 6 units, unique to the Santa Fe alone, were delivered as the 400-405, later renumbered 8000-8005.

Description:  ARGENTINE KS May 2 1982 -- Santa Fe slug 129 (shown here at the Argentine shops and in what appears to be fresh paint) was built by EMD in July 1959 as UP SD24B 420B. In October 1979 it was rebuilt to the Santa Fe 129. It was repainted to SPSF sometime between August 1985 and July 1986. It was renumbered to ATSF 1129 in Mid 1989 and eventually returned to Santa Fe paint. On Oct 12 1998 it Became BNSF 3970. (Roster data from atsfrr.net)
