Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1233, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built as an H-8B in Juniata during 1909, rebuilt as an H-9S in February of 1917, and retired in July of 1948. It is heading a Pennsylvania-Reading sand and gravel train of 65 cars. |

CP 4-4-4 #2913 - Canadian Pacific |
Description: |
This is a beautiful example of Canadian Pacific 4-4-4 Jubilee type steam locomotive built by the Canadian Locomotive Works in December of 1937. The white walled wheels and streamlined body casing gives it a modern look. The loco served the CP for twenty years before being disposed in March of 1957. Specs - Serial #1927, F-1a class, 75" drivers, impressive 300 psi boiler pressure, 16.5x28" cylinders, engine weight of 240,000 lb, tractive effort of 25,918 lb. No exact day in January of 1939 was given for this photo and no photographer was listed. |
