Seize The Birthday - Wheels

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Wheels, chosen by Jules.

I used this fab funfair stamp from Picture This, and a cloud stencil for the background.  The sentiment is from Altenew.

We've got some fabulous inspiration for you on the Seize The Birthday blog from the rest of the team, and from our two surprise party guests - pop on over and take a look, then play along with us.  If wheels aren't your thing, you can still play along with any birthday-themed project.

Seize The Birthday - Balloons

Hi, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Vicki's choice of Balloons.  Well, what's a birthday without balloons?  I used Altenew's Balloon Bunch - those suckers are really hard to line up perfectly!

I made another card while I was at it, repeating the sentiments as a background.

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog to see what our surprise party guests and the rest of the team have made, and join in the fun.  If you don't want to use balloons in your creation, you can play along with  our Anything Goes theme as long as it's birthday related.

Seize The Birthday: Alcohol - Inks or Drinks

Hello, it's my turn to host Seize The Birthday challenge, and for the topping I've chosen alcohol.  What will you go for, inks or drinks?  Or both?

This is actually the second card I made for this challenge.  After I'd made the first one, see below, I came across this image already stamped and waiting to be coloured in.  So I did.

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday challenge blog to see if the rest of the team and our surprise party guests went with inks or drinks, and play along with us.  If the theme doesn't float your boat, you can still play along with any birthday-themed project.

Seize The Birthday - Things In A Garden

They're flowers, Jim, but not as we know 'em!

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Things In A Garden, chosen by Nancy.  So I did these funky Zinsky Art flowers from PaperArtsy.  The largest one's a bit triffid-like, isn't it?

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous garden-themed beauties from the rest of the team and our surprise party guests, then play along with us - you can do any birthday-themed project if you don't fancy gardens this week.

Seize The Birthday - Card for a child

It's a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, and Linda has chosen Card for a Child.

The males are always more difficult to make cards for, but this set from Funky Fossil works for children and adults alike these days.

Seize The Birthday - Use Red, White + 1 Colour

Hey, peeps!  Our new challenge is up at Seize The Birthday, brought to us by JoAnn.  She wants us to use red, white plus one colour.

I went for brown for the chocolate that the little mouse is carrying.  The sentiment die is from MFT and, of course, when you cut it, you're left with either the letters or the negative, depending on how you're going to use it.  I couldn't waste the negative, so I made a companion card.  Love it when you get a twofer!

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog to see what extra colour our guests and the rest of the design team have made, and join in with us.  If you don't want to use red + white + 1, you can always play along with our Anything Goes birthday.

Seize The Birthday - Use Your Initials

Hi, Our latest challenge at Seize The Birthday is up and running.  Glenda's chosen the theme - use your initials.

I've gone for S for silver and B for blooms.

I treated myself to a Spellbinders Glimmer foil machine, and so far, I've had mixed results.  I've tried every type of card, and settled on one that gives the best results, bu it's still very hit and miss.  I can use the same sentiment on the same card twice in succession and get different results.  Fortunately the bad bits all get cut away with the die.  So I wasn't hopeful at all with my first attempt at the splatter because I wouldn't be able to cut anything away, but to my surprise it turned out perfectly.  So I didn't try again, haha :)

The floral stamp and die is from Altenew.

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog to see how the design team and our surprise guests have used their initials, then join in using your initials - or if you'd rather not, just play along with any birthday themed project.
