Halloween preparations in Italy! Although being itself an Anglo-Saxon tradition, being able to discover traditions kept in this country which is already my home for a year is truly amazing. As Mexico having its "Noche de los Muertos" with their fabulous, colorful catrinas and Spain having the "Día de todos los Santos" with seasonal sweets and flowers left for those who aren't among us anymore, Italy has also some magnificent traditions depending on the town (or "paese") you are based in. For example, in the region of Veneto, there's a tradition of shaping pumpkins as skulls and it is told that in the night of the 1st to 2nd November, the dead could escape from their tombs, kidnap the kids they might find downtown and make animals in the stables talk.

I don't know exactly what the Tuscan traditions are for Ognissanti and Il giorno dei Morti, as they call Halloween here, but from what I've heard, they celebrate it eating of course! Everything here is about food (I can tell you firsthand. I've spent almost all my time here eating delicious food and I still have to figure out how I'll get home with all this extra weight) and as I've heard from italian friends, in the city of Firenze is typical to feast over Schiaccia dei Santi and Pane dei Santi (which is basically, delicious, dreamy focaccia). For all I care, I will be celebrating All Saints' night with my friends downtown with this dreamlike fluffy crimson fur coat from Lightinthebox, who once again joined the boat to help me find the best outfit ideas for any event to share with you. Firenze, and more exactly, all the zone above Rome gets awfully cold from Fall to almost Spring so, what better than a fluffy coat to rock my beloved (ehem, nope) cobblestoned streets without freezing. I love not only the super bright maroon-reddish color of the coat, but also the envolvent neck which allows wearing turtlenecks and scarves to get extra warmness. And the fluffiness! It's so fluffy and soft I would spend my days hugging it as if it was a stuffed animal. Because, is there something better than a Halloween disguise being comfy and super warm? I bet not!

With this look inspired in Halloween, I wanted to turn everything a little bit vampy, with the faux fur coat as the main character of the outfit, some black eyeliner and dark lipstick. I think the black and white pants also add a little bit of Beetlejuice costume inspiration, doesn't it?

Three Wise Men/Three Kings Day. In Spain, Christmas aren't officially over until 6th January. Here, both child and adults are excited to find their gifts on the 6th January morning. It's a huge tradition for Spanish families to go have lunch together usually at a restaurant more than at home. After giving our presents to each other at home, we usually get dressed in our best clothes and if there are child in the house, it's pretty common to go "on tour" to your relatives' to get the rest of the gifts and then head for lunch. There are no child at my house, and as I have only one older cousin and my family is pretty small, we just take the day off to meet, get our classy, event-proof outfits out of the closet (and I get to wear tons of makeup because #YOLO) and we just have fun around some Spanish dishes, paella and tapas.

I think this is a nice outfit for family events. Although it is Winter, Valencia has that mediterranean weather I'll miss for sure if I'm granted with the Erasmus at the very north of Europe next course. It's the kind of weather that allows you to wear light crepe dresses and short sleeves at the very beginning of January. I think this outfit is great because it's classy, but not too formal and it is also appropriate for other family events as baby showers or birthdays. I always like to add a blazer to complete any outfit. Is my go-to piece to balance any outfit assemble: it can add a hint of sophistication to the plainest jean, and take off a lot of seriousness on this kind of more formal outfits. Also, I find this baby blue quite the interesting color for this events, specially for daylight! It reminds me of Spring, and the sky when it's sunny and clear at the city, and you get to stroll downtown as you're eating a slice of pizza.

I've spent this whole week dealing with my wisdom teeth removed, so, eating at this family event was quite the tricky thing but I at least managed to get a whole bowl of ice-cream for myself! *happy* I shared a hint of this day and the outfit at my Instagram account, where I always upload crazy selfies, silly stuff, and I also would love to get your answers to the following question...

What's your go-to outfit for family events?

Summer is usually a synonym of holidays. But not this year for me! I've been keeping really, really busy lately as my classes ended pretty late (only a week ago, which is super rare taking into consideration last year I finished classes and exams almost June 10th) and I've been called to work as intern on a local architecture studio!

Everything has been pretty rushed; I had to cancel plans and a trip as I was called only three or four days ago, and I'm not sure I'll even put a feet on the sand this year, but... It's exciting to be finally working on something I'm studying and working hard everyday on. I'm looking forward on giving the best of me and learn as much as possible these coming months, and hopefully, also apply the gained knowledge to fashion and share it on blog posts for you all.

It's fun because I never had the chance to really dress for work, but now I have the opportunity to. It's a total challenge for me, as I love wearing bright colors and somehow risky pieces which wouldn't be suitable for an office work on a pretty formal ambient (not even talking about ground and site visits, which I hope I can take part on soon). Somehow it's fun at the Architecture School, where everybody knows that I like to show my personality with clothes and use fashion as a tool to express myself; even if they all wear black, greys and neutrals. But this is kind of different. So, I hope I can learn as much as I'm able to, not only talking about architecture and paperwork, but also how to behave in a professional environment. (Tips appreciated!)

I was also planning to start a very special project related to fashion and architecture, talking about interior design, catwalks configurations and window dressing among others. These two passions that I have and that share so many aspects. But now that I'm with the internship, I'm not really sure how much time I'll left to that! Spring is here! ''Las fallas'' ended a few days ago, and with them winter season. However we're having a really weird weather around, with sun but a bit cold, then it's cloudy and then again sun. Now it's the moment to start with my ''onion mood'' which consists on wearing different layers of things, with really different textures, so if it's warmer I can just take off my blazer and wear only my shirt.

This two piece suit with shorts instead of pants was the perfect buy at Mango last year, and it's perfect for this time of the year when it starts to be sunny but it's not time to forget my tights yet. I think this outfit ended really lady style, with that bow blouse which adds the classy and timeless touch to the look. The suit and the colors on the bag are the eclectic side.

Happy 2014 to everyone! First of all, how was your New Year's Eve? Hope you enjoyed a lot with your relatives and friends, and that 2014 began on the best mood as possible! I hope this new year is full of new projects, illusions, new things to know and live. As for me, I spent the night with my family, having dinner while watching series and films, then enjoying Spanish traditions like eating the twelve grapes. For me as every year is a quiet familiar night, another moment of enjoyment of my holiday before returning to classes.

For me, the new year means a new chance to start from scratch, to change my mood about new challenges, find new projects and grow as a young woman. New year, new life. For me having the opportunity to share on this blog my experiences, outfits and all of you see here, that you live with me, is also part of these new projects I'm having in mind, and that I want to improve day by day this year.

Okay, now really really quickly about the outfit. It's been quite cold lately around here, although I've been not going out too much due to flu, I feel like every time I've been out of home, it's been really difficult to plan an outfit. I mean, I'm not a planning freak when it comes to clothes. But I like to have a specific idea subsequently applied to my looks, and those ideas have not appeared much these days ("should I wear jeans or one of those feminine women plaid skirts? Or should I just put on a loose fit pair of trousers and a top?"). So, I've been caught more than fifteen minutes in front of the closet thinking ''What I'm going to wear'' more than once. This is one of those moments, when I just took one thing from here, those earrings from there and so the outfit appeared. That's when I realized this red scarf is really similar to Carrie Bradshaw's from Sex and the City, isn't it?

Winter is already here. After a crazy October month with summer temperatures it's finally cold. And so cold that I had to literary drive out all my coats and warm jackets, because it has arrived really really quick. But it's fun, because I was really on a coat and fur jacket mood, just to change drastically the summer wardrobe and start matching with the current season.

Color coats and not the typical dark brown nor black jacket are one of the most noticeable trends of this season. I got this white coat from Mango on sales before summer, and was waiting on my closet to be worn. In addition with this black fur vest I'm wearing under it, it makes the outfit super comfy and warm for freezing days.

I'm also very happy because today I could finally give my first class project, and it's exciting because it ended very well and I have finally been able to sleep a little after two chaotic weeks. Now it's time to learn about new rendering and planning programs and utilities, do some testing (as you can see below) and wait until next project is announced. Yay, I love Architecture!

Milano. When traveling, I always try to pack as most comfy but still fashionable outfits as possible, like this one. I'm not already on Milano, I'm leaving on Wednesday so I'm still putting everything in order on my luggage. But this look could be one of those I usually wear on a trip: fresh and light dress, flat shoes and subtle accessories to add that different touch. This dress was perfect for a sunny and warm day around University.

Things that I always carry with me? Sunglasses or hats to protect me from sun, a small but useful bag, wallet and a notebook to write ideas or sketching on the go.

I'm sure Milan is going to be one of that trips that absolutely change your life, and let you see things from another point of view.

Black is no color for summer. As warm weather comes, my clothing habits change too, and that means pants and jeans are swapped for light skirts and shorts, black for navy blue in case of dark colors, and long sleeve T-shirts for soft and comfy blouses.

And of course, as season changes, navy style arrives every year too. Dark blue, white and red colors, ropes everywhere and anchors, straight dresses with sparkles of Chanel's style, big picture hats and so on. I really think this style is always a hit, a timeless and succesful way to solve that ''I have no idea of what to wear'' annoying situation. The key is keeping it simple but putting a few accesories that claim attention.

On my case, I mixed a zillion things from different seasons (some of them are ''old acquaintances'' around here, like the Springfield sandals), stole from mum's closet a cute bag (''Mateo'' from Carolina Herrera, such a love!), put on an stripes blazer, and created a soft makeup. And voilà, this is how the whole outfit looked like!

After a crazy week full of exams, events and things, I'm finally here ready again! Today I want to show you some pictures and talk about an event I had the chance to attend last Thursday. Because of last Valencia's Shopping Day&Night, I was invited to Aimé Complementos evening event to celebrate the arrival of Summer and meet their new collection.

It was really exciting for me, not only because it was the first event of this kind I attended to, but also because I had the chance to meet other bloggers and fashionistas on the city (like the bloggers from LivingIn and Glamour Narcotico) and also had the opportunity to know this space downtown.

I really liked the concept of Aimé Complementos: pastel shades on their mannequins and shelves, cute and delicate dresses, a very urban style on their jewelry and accesories (specially Stella Rittwagen satchels and bags!!). My fav thing about the store was its retro and eclectic look, the mix of styles I was able to see that evening with my friend who went with me. Definitely, a new store on my list of ''must come back'' on the city.

Traveling to Barcelona it's always a pleasure. This city is so inspirational, so mediterranian that there's more than one reason because I love it. Its architecture it's fresh and modern but at the same time has that historic atmosphere I really enjoy.

We went last week for a daytrip to the city, to visit some of its famous buildings (specially from Gaudí) and  take ideas for our future projects. Somehow architecture reminds me to fashion, and everytime I learn something new on my classes I try to apply it to my outfits or DIY: geometrical forms, volumes, lines,  proportions... These could be the main points on architecture, but also in fashion and design.

As this daytrips are totally like a marathon and the weather was pretty changing, I decided to go for the comfy outfit with ankle boots, skinny pants and jean jacket, so I could be warm when it was windy, or cooler when the sun was shining during the morning.

Barcelona's Palau de la Música has such a wonderful modernist architecture I've always loved. Colorful, full of different shapes which somehow reminds me fairytales. Pretty!

Although I don't usually post outfits wearing jeans or pants in general, I must admit they're the most versatile garment I will never find on anyone's closet. They can be worn for classes with flats or sneakers, and with high heels and a cool top to rock it on a clubbing night. My favorites ever? The basic dark blue straight cut jeans, and also the skinny type.

I really wanted to change my mind with this outfit, and leave apart for a while the classy/mod inspired style I'm usually featuring here. Sometimes changes are great, isn't them? (Okay. Didn't forget at all my style with the crochet mittens and the scarf but... It was cold!) So this is my idea for a fun afternoon out with your friends/date: put on your jeans and high heels, take your biker leather jacket and add some accessories to get the ''rebel'' look. Do your best smokey eye makeup and mess up your hair. You'll succeed!

I'm not very much into animal prints. I think it's a tricky pattern to combine and wear, specially with some pieces. This leopard pencil skirt wasn't an exception. And maybe more difficult, because it's a peplum pencil skirt, which could make my outfit a bit sassy if I made a mistake with the rest of pieces. On this situations, I think black and neutral clothing it's the clue to create an elegant but still flashing outfit.

No more colors except on my red necklace (which is very simple with those little beads on it) and a little glitter on my bag (OMG, seems like I don't have any other bag, lately I've been wearing it too much...). This outfit doesn't need more, or it can look overdone and even vulgar. As it was windy, I chose this Mango black gabardine which I love because its classy shape and fabric lightness.

Oh, I'm also showing you on the following pictures an interesting class project I've been working on this week. That huge white thing/cube is a model of a house (which doesn't really exists, haha). It's called ''LeCorbu'' (of LeCorbusier, the architect. I'll talk to you about him maybe someday), and what I was supposed to do was draw all the house, it's exterior and interior, with shades and furniture and so on. You'll see the drawings soon!!

But I think the thing I like the most doing here is taking my bike and go out to the swimming pool, or just around downtown to take pictures. That's why I prefer wearing comfy outfits like the one I'm showing you today. Although I'm wearing heels, they're not so high so you can walk with them and the neutral blush color makes them much more wearable. This map bag from Alviero Martini allows you to carry almost unlimited things, such as my summer reading, my phone, my nail file (they break a lot lately), sunnies... Well, just imagine.
