GoGirlsMusic.com had a chance to chat with the girls from the NYC band, The Hissyfits. They are being heralded as The Go-Go's of the 90s weaned on Nirvana. These girls rock heavily armed with sweet harmonies, clever lyrics, and raucous guitars and drums. Here is what they had to say...GoGirlsMusic.com: You girls have done a great deal, played a great many of big events and really gotten your name out there. What would you say is your biggest achievement so far? The Hissyfits: Thanks! We were thrilled to play with the original bad girl of rock, Ronnie Spector, at Joey Ramone's annual birthday bash. We're also honored to have been invited to participate in so many great female-music-oriented events coordinated by such great organizations such as WomanRock and Women-N-Rock. We're also very proud to have accomplished so much in so little time, doing the majority of the work ourselves with very little resources. Of course we owe a big thanks to all of our friends who have helped us, and also to all the people out there who dig us! NEXT >>

My name is Sonyia Smith and I am just ooozing with commitment to the world of female musicians! I have been, and currently do manage a hard rock band with a fierce female lead vocalist called Black Eyed Rosey. I've been their manager for over 4 years now, and we continue to turn heads everywhere we go. I've worked very closely with bar owners, managers, other bands, other managers….and I've also worked with all of them from far away!
