Lacrosse Time is Here!

I love watching Ian playing lacrosse.  It is awesome!  He is so good too.  I really enjoy it.  Let me tell you, Bulldog JV Lacrosse is off to a great start.  They beat Green Valley and Faith Lutheran.  We are off to a great start.  They don't have their uniforms yet, but we are getting it together. It is so great to watch this team and see them grow as a team.  Ian wasn't pleased with how he played one game.  He needs to trust himself and do what he knows will work.  He is a great player.  He needs to believe it.

New Beginnings

I haven't been feeling good, so I am just getting around to blogging about New Beginnings.  This is when we welcome the incoming 12 year olds to Young Women's.  It is a night when we try to make them feel good and welcomed.  I got put in as Young Women's President about two months ago, and we had to put this together pretty quick.  The girls helped out and I think it went really good.  We talked about how Olympians make and set goals to win gold medals.  We have to set goals to win eternal life and personal progress helps us to do that.

We had cute flag bearers who marched in to the Olympic Theme and then spoke about the values they were assigned to speak about.  They did an amazing job and bore a sweet testimony of the values they were assigned.

When we spotlighted our two Beehives we made them stand on out Olympic podium!  Then we presented them with gold medals that had their wonderful qualities on them

It was an amazing night!

I couldn't do it without these ladies.

Family Home Evening Fun

So we had no school today because it was President's Day.  We actually had a five day weekend, and it was wonderful.  I think we needed it after Ian was so sick at the beginning of the week.  Today, I just felt like we needed to get out. Ian has lacrosse practice, so it was so nice to have family home evening during the day today.  We had been watching the Olympics hard core, and I think we needed a break.  So I suggested indoor mini golf.  Don looked it up and Ian decided that he wanted to go to Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf at Bally's.  Oh my gosh, it was awesome.  We loved it. They had scenes from the Twilight Zone and music playing.  The people who worked there were so nice.  It was a great time.  Ian even said he liked it.  I am so glad we went out!!

Valentine's Day!

It was a strange week for Valentine's week.  First off Ian had the flu. The worse I have seen him ever get it.  It was rough.  So I stayed home with him on Monday and Don stayed home him on Tuesday.  Still, it took him forever to get better.  I think he is finally feeling better.  So on Wednesday, Valentine's Day, it was kind of quiet.  I gave Don a new National Championship Alabama shirt and a new banner for his office.  I will have to go and get a picture of it.
Don got me some flowers and Ian got me some candy.
We gave Ian some candy.  He loved it.  You can tell from the picture, he is still looking sick.
When the weekend came, Don and I went out to dinner.  First Don took me to get new running shoes.  I really love them and can't wait to wear them.  They are Brooks and I have never used them before, so I am a bit nervous how it will go.
We wanted to try something new for dinner, so we went to Benihana.  We haven't been there since we were children, so it was fun.  Yummy food for sure.

Of course this week also had a chemo treatment thrown in .  Oh yeah, true romance.  We just constantly pray that it will work and I will be able to come off of chemo soon.  I try to have faith, but it is hard.  Every time I go to the doctors it is bad news.  It is rough for sure.
This weeks, Sunday thoughts.

Week In Review

I swear I am going to do better with this.  I finally feel organized with my calling and I am getting myself together.  Last week was the Super Bowl, and honestly, I didn't really care about it. It was the Eagles vs. The Patriots.  The Eagles won and it was a great game, but I really didn't care about either team.  I did serve my typical food and Austin and Bree came over.  Don went up to Idaho that weekend.  Aubrey and Christian got into their apartment and Don went up to Idaho to bring their furniture to them.  It was a quick trip.  Don made it home in time for the Super Bowl.  He says their apartment is really nice.
Grandma Brasier made Ian this cute picture.  It has our Gnome in it.
Ian also got Valentine candy from his other grandparents in Connecticut.
I went to free frozen yogurt day at Yogurtland with the girls and guys in my ward.  They were the 16 year olds - eighteen year olds.  It was a crazy long line, but we had fun.
The Winter Olympics are on.  I will blog about that when it is over.  We watch so much of it, so then for a date night we took Ian to a new ice cream place called Rolled.  Yeah we took Ian.  We needed a break from the Olympics.  It is just ice cream that is made in front of you and rolled.  It is pretty cool.  We felt bad for the people who work there, because it is really hard to do.  It tasted really good, and was quite a treat.

Aubrey's Wedding

It was perfect.  Honestly, I kept waiting for something to go wrong and nothing ever did.  Aubrey and Christian loved it.  They were so happy.  Their temple wedding was magical.  I can't even express how beautiful it was.  Just look at the pictures.
Her bridals were at the Las Vegas Wet Lands. (Yes, we have wet lands!)

The weather was amazing the day of her wedding, and she looked so beautiful and classy.  Just stunning.

Even though Aubrey was so worried about the reception, it came out beautiful.  Aubrey and Christian loved it.  It was an elegant affair.
