[Kenwood] Receive Problem in TS-120S

Hello -

My TS-120S transmits fine on all bands, the digital display is ok too. All
controls work fine. However, after transmitting even once, the T/R relay
clicks back (as expected), but the receiver goes dead - i.e. no audio and
the S/RF meter also goes dead. If I temporarily key up the transmitter to
close the T/R relay and power off the rig, then, I can usually get the
receiver to come back - i.e. audio returns and S/RF meter works. But, if I
key up again, the problem repeats.

I've reseated all cabling connections, examined the relays and there doesn't
appear to be anything awry, but as you know, relay contacts can be
deceptive. The coils certainly are working for both relays and the transmit
output is fine, with no frequency drift. BTW - The T/R switching diodes
were replaced about a year ago when the rig's TX output was unstable on 10 &
15 meters - that particular problem has not returned since.

Any ideas?

Thanks Dieter - WB3JWU
