Most likely the 28v high current pass transistor and/or the finals are
blown/shorted if the 7.5 amp fuse keeps blowing.

Subject: [Kenwood] Sick TS-950S

Hello all,
New to the list. I recently picked up a TS-950S that has a
problem. I found the 7.5 amp fuse in the power supply was blown. Replace it,
powered up & the display came on for a fraction of a second & fuse blew
again. I don't know the history of this rig, as the seller was not a ham. He
knew it had a problem & sold it for a price so low I couldn't pass it up.
Cosmetically, it's a 9.5.

Any common problems with this rig? Is there a schematic
for this rig online? Thanks for reading this!

Regards,
Rob
