Hi Dave, Try cleaning the sockets and plugs on the interconnect cable between the transmitter and receiver. Maybe a little daub of something like De-oxit or other electronic contact cleaner. Since the VFO is the only difference the VFO level is probably your culprit and that cable/connector is the most vulnerable place. 73, Bill KU8H
