Deng Chan left the ranks of the former rebel army in South Sudan in 2008 aged 13 - three years after the peace deal that ended the 21-year north-south civil war.

The peace has seen tens of thousands of child soldiers hand in their guns - and about half of primary school-aged children are now at school.

But the road to recovery is not easy. Deng tells the BBC about the struggle to deal with his anger and the responsibility of feeding his family.
