Biography

Professor M.G.H. Zaidi is a renowned physical chemist, innovator, academic administrator and entrepreneurship mentor. Most remarkably, his entire academic trajectory and achievements were shaped in India. He graduated from Lucknow University (L.U.) in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, with a bachelor's degree in science (1985), a master's degree in science (1987), and Doctor of Philosophy (1992). At an early age of 25, he secured the Ph.D. degree in Chemistry under the learned guidance of Professor J. S. Shukla of Department of Chemistry ,L.U., U.P., India, with a dissertation titled "Synthesis of Some Newer High Temperature Resistant Polymers." Dr. Zaidi has shown an unrelenting dedication to his academic career as a full Professor at Department of Chemistry, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India. Dr.Zaidi has a proven ability to deliver research solutions mapped to industrial challenges in development and applications of polymer materials .His pioneering contributions to the field of polymer science and technology have received immense acclaim among peers across the world. His widely cited research work covers applications of polymer science and technology for critical solutions in structural engineering, electronics, waste management, energy storage and nanobiotechnology. He has received research support for the dissemination of research and development in polymer science & technology from a number of national, international, and private organizations. Dr. Zaidi is a meticulous and problem-solving scientist with more than 180 publications to his name, including reviews, articles with high impact factors, perspectives, conference proceedings, book chapters, and several patents. He has mentored about 70 students, including research fellows, masters, and doctorates in the fields of polymer science and technology. He has been sharing his academic expertise since decades in the field of polymer science and technology as speaker, member of organizing, technical program committees and resource person at national, international conferences, symposia, trainings, workshops and member of the editorial boards of several International Journals.
