...Moderate to heavy snow is falling across parts of the Upper
Midwest...
Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for parts of eastern
Minnesota, and northern Wisconsin, and the entire Upper Peninsula
of Michigan.
Winter Weather Advisories are in place for parts of northern Iowa,
southeastern Minnesota and central Wisconsin.

At 200 PM CST...A potent upper-level trough over the Ohio valley
is powering a surface low pressure system over Lake Michigan.
Latest surface observations indicated an occluded center of low
pressure of 989 mb, or 29.21 inches of mercury, located over
northern Lake Michigan between Menominee and Traverse City,
Michigan. National Weather Service radars and surface observations
indicated a swath of moderate to heavy snowfall extending from
northeastern Wisconsin in through Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Winds gusting over 30 mph may cause visibility to drop in areas
experiencing snowfall. Precipitation in the form of rain continues
out ahead of the system over parts of the Mid-Atlantic and
Northeast which is within the storms warm sector.

The storm system will high-tail it north and east through the
Great Lakes and southern Ontario before crossing the Northeast and
exiting into the Atlantic by Thanksgiving morning. Additional
snowfall of 2-4 inches will occur over the Upper Peninsula while 6
inches are expected for much of Maine. Winds are expected to
continue to be a hazard with this system.
