The forming surface low will move across the Northeast coast
overnight and into Wednesday, and snow will continue north and
west of this low. An additional 6 to 10 inches of snow is forecast
for northern New England through Wednesday, with lighter snow

Heavy lake effect snow is expected in the Great Lakes region over
the next couple of days in the cold air behind the low and fronts.
Additional snowfall of 12 to 18 inches is possible downwind of the
lakes. Extremely cold wind chills of 40 to 60 below 0 are expected
to remain across the Midwest and Ohio Valley through Thursday.
Record low temperatures will spread eastward into the Mid-Atlantic
and Northeast by Wednesday night and Thursday as well, with wind
chills of 10 to 30 degrees below 0.
