Heavy rain and flash flooding remains a concern through tonight
across parts of the Upper Midwest as a developing low pressure
system progresses eastward from the central High Plains along a
draped stationary front. Numerous showers and thunderstorms
occurring over saturated soils from recent rainfall could
exacerbate flooding concerns from southeast South Dakota to
central Wisconsin. The heavy rain threat is forecast to end by
Saturday across the Midwest as the low pressure system enters the
Great Lakes on Saturday, with an attached cold front ushering in a
drier and more stable air mass.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 PM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
