and Great Lakes.

At 900 AM CDT...A quasi-stationary front remains draped over the
Midwest and Central Plains this morning, with radar and surface
observations depicting showers and thunderstorms north of the
front. Prolonged southerly flow across the Central/Southern Plains
continues to transport copious amounts of low-level moisture both
towards and along the stationary front with observed dew points in
the low-mid 70s from the Middle Missouri Valley on east to eastern
Iowa.

Additional heavy rainfall and flash flooding is expected tonight
across parts of the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes as low pressure
along the draped stationary front makes its way east. A Moderate
Risk of Excessive Rainfall is in effect today over parts of Iowa,
Minnesota, and southern Wisconsin.
