Great Basin, and through the central Rockies as arctic air surges
into the Great Plains. The low pressure system responsible for
the recent winter storm had dissipated over land. Meanwhile, a

As the main energy associated with an upper-level trough moves
southeastward into the central Plains, snowfall currently
occurring over the central Rockies will gradually lose intensity
tonight and into Monday. The upper trough will then begin to
interact with an arctic front near the Gulf Coast and across the
Southeast, where the next round of wintry weather is forecast to
develop on Monday across the Arlatex region into the Tennessee
Valley. Further updates regarding this upcoming winter weather
event across the Mid-South will likely be issued on Monday.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 200 PM MST Monday. Please refer to your local National
Weather Service office for additional information on this event.
