A coastal low pressure system is strengthening off the Atlantic
coastline today and will quickly move northeast off the
Mid-Atlantic coastline to east of the New England coastline.
Heavy, wet snow and high winds associated with the low pressure
will prompt the hazards of tree/powerline damage and widespread
travel impacts across southern New England. Moreover, moderate
coastal flooding is expected to continue along the Mid-Atlantic
coast and further north along the New England coastline.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 PM EST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
