Tropical Depression
Eighteen - September 25-28,
1968
A tropical depression formed in the western Caribbean sea late on
September 24. The system moved north
to northeast at a slow rate of speed, steered by an approaching cold
front and weakness in the subtropical
ridge to its north, crossing southern Florida on the 26th, before
turning eastward out into the subtropical
western Atlantic. Below are the storm total rainfall
maps for the
depression, using data
provided by
the National Climatic Data Center through their daily rainfall
totals.
