A tropical depression moved inland from the western Gulf of Mexico near
the United States/Mexican border,
dropping heavy rainfall on the Lower Rio Grande Valley as it moved into
northeast Mexico. The system moved
into southeast New Mexico as a cold front banked up against the
Rockies, leading to flash flooding in the Pecos
River and its tributaries. The graphics
