Unnamed Tropical Storm - June 4-8,
1964
On June 2nd, a tropical depression slowly developed over the extreme
northwest Caribbean east of Belize.
Drifting northward, it entered the southeast Gulf of Mexico on the
4th. After crossing the northeast portion
of Florida, the depression strengthened into a tropical storm on the
7th. The storm moved east-northeast
continuing to slowly develop. The storm turned to the east while
north of Bermuda, reaching its peak intensity.
The cyclone soon turned northward, becoming absorbed by a large
extratropical cyclone over the Canadian
Maritimes. The graphics below show the storm total rainfall for
