Chiquitita, tell me whats wrong
Youre enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that youre oh so sad, so quiet
Chiquitita, tell me the truth
Im a shoulder you can cry on
Your best friend, Im the one you must rely on
You were always sure of yourself
Now I see youve broken a feather
I hope we can patch it up together
Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars theyre leaving
Youll be dancing once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grieving
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita
So the walls came tumbling down
And your loves a blown out candle
All is gone and it seems too hard to handle
Chiquitita, tell me the truth
There is no way you can deny it
I see that youre oh so sad, so quiet
Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars theyre leaving
Youll be dancing once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grieving
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, chiquitita

1. After driving in NY, Washington DC, and Chicago, I realize why so many people in these places are against concealed carry and handgun ownership. They are so angry and frustrated with their living conditions that they know to their core that, were they to carry a gun, they would be a murderer several times over. They are not afraid of guns. They are afraid of themselves with a gun.
2. I have an autographed copy here of John Lott's book "More Guns Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws", 3d ed., University of Chicago Press, 2010. Using official government data sets, Lott proves that counties with higher gun populations suffer less crime than those with less.
Milton Friedman said, "Lott has done us all a service by his thorough, thoughtful, scholarly approach to a highly controversial issue." A researcher at Yale Law School, Lott has finally discredited the myths of anti-gunners. It is now well-settled and foolish to deny.
3. The Minutemen, the 1812 regiments, and the Civil War warriors all provided their own weapons when they became active duty militia. That's why they needed arms--Readiness. It's Redcoat General Gage that banned them. Sgt. York proved the point.
4. A driving license is a privilege granted by the police. Arms bearing is an inalienable Right granted by Divine Providence which, first the British King was obliged to recognize and protect, and then which our Constitution regarded as the most precious natural Right, second only to Free Speech. The police have nothing to do with that Right, except that their interference with it is forbidden as it is with Free Speech. Nothing needs to be proved, explained, or answered for that Right to obtain. "Don't Tread On Me." Remember?
5. The prosecution and persecution of Bernard Goetz caused many thousands to move out of New York. His civil rights were railroaded (no pun intended). But no matter how they hurt him, he came out a lot better than Kitty Genovese.
The Currency War: Macro vs. Micro
Wed, Nov 16 2011, 14:56 GMT
by Shawn Beecher Market Traders Institute, Inc. (MTI)
When a trader enters any market they need to decide what role they will play within that market. I have been teaching traders to trade currency for over six years and what I have learned is this: a trader with no clear identity is a losing trader. This lack of identity is most detrimental when trying to analyze the market when conditions are similar to what they have been over the past few weeks.
If you are a short term trader, let me give you some advice—stop trading now! With the volatility and lack of clear trends that we are seeing on the 5-15 minute time frames, your technical analysis has probably been failing you more than it has been helping you. And, due to the lack of precision with most robots and systems these have also been failing miserably. If you are seeking more guidance on trading this market under the current conditions, I will try to make this easy for you to understand. Continue to sell the EURO, NZD, and CHF against the USD. Do your best to not let the short-term waves disrupt your trading strategy and accept the fact that if you are going to try to capture these larger moves, you will need to decrease your lot size so you can increase your stops to survive the volatility.
Here’s what’s been working for me:
1. Pay attention to the larger time frames (the small ones are full of Bull and Bear traps) and use them to place entry’s.
2. Look for at least three correlating technical reasons to enter a trade (I mean it, at least THREE).
3. Set your stops based on this larger time frame just above previous highs (if selling) and just below previous lows (if buying).
4. Plot the most current Fibonacci on the larger time frame and take into account the possible retracement, or extension, and make sure that your stops reflect this also.
5. Take your larger time frame and divide it by four (this is just a rule of thumb) and look for relevant areas of support and resistance, or even the short-term trend lines, and use this to determine the limits for your trades.
6. Finally, realize that when you capture PIPs, you take them to live and fight another day.
Some issues to watch for would be…, you will find that where a normal risk-to-reward of 1:2 (or even 1:3) is standard, in this market you should be happy getting 1:1.5 (and in extreme cases even 1:1). That means that the only way to make money in this market for the next couple weeks is if you are right more than you are wrong. And, if you are not confident, then stay out for a couple of weeks at least.
As an experienced trader and educator, I strongly recommend using this time to learn. So that when the market is once again ready for you, you will be ready for the market.
A penguin is driving down the road on a trip away from home. Suddenly, he hears a big thump then the car stalls out with lot's of steam and smoke coming from the engine. Fortunately there is a service station right there and he was able to coast into the station.
He explained to the mechanic that he was far from home and pleaded with the mechanic to fix it right away.
The mechanic agreed and told the penguin that he needed about a half hour and suggested the penguin go across the street to a lunchroom.
The penguin went over there, had a nice lunch, got himself an ice cream cone, and went back to the station.
As the mechanic looked up and saw him, he said,"It looks like you blew a seal."
The penguin said quickly, "Oh, no, no, that's just some ice cream."

show details 3:28 PM (12 hours ago)
from Dudley.Brown@nationalgunrights.org
Terry,
Last week I told you some well-meaning, but in my opinion very misguided pro-gunners are working to pass a bill that could turn into a Trojan Horse for more gun control.
I was talking about H.R. 822, the so-called “National Reciprocity Act,” which could open the flood gates of gun control.
I’m calling it the National CCW Registration Act.
While the idea that all states should recognize a concealed weapons permit is sound public policy, the use of the anti-gun federal bureaucracy to implement it is simply foolish.
Can I count on you to take action RIGHT NOW? Rep. Lamar Smith is the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee that will hear H.R. 822, the National CCW Registration Act.
I need you to call House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith and make clear that you want to keep the government’s hands off your permit and that you are opposed to federal intrusion into the concealed weapons permit process.
Once the federal government is in the business of setting the standards for concealed carry permits, it’s only a matter of time before they start using that power to restrict our rights.
Now you may hear arguments that this bill doesn’t do that, and maybe that’s true... for now.
Even worse, once this bill starts moving, anyone can amend the bill with anything... and no legislation can bind a future Congress in any way.
That doesn’t count what Obamacrats in the Department of Justice might dream up as the “regulations” to carry out the legislative “intent.”
Gun owners have enough trouble with Republican-run Executive branches implementing the law improperly. Does anyone really think the Obama Administration is going to treat gun owners fairly?
I know many of you are frustrated that you can carry in some states but not others -- I’m frustrated, too.
I carry concealed every day, everywhere I go, and have worked to expand the ability of citizens to carry in dozens of states.
I believe I should be able to carry concealed -- without a permit -- in all 50 states. That’s what “bear arms” means. Believe me, that’s a long-term policy goal for the National Association for Gun Rights.
But mark my words, H.R. 822, the National CCW Registration Act, will become nothing more than a Trojan Horse for even more federal gun control.
I understand that many who support this bill sincerely just want their right to carry respected -- but cannot due to the fact that their state or another won’t do the right thing.
But the devil is truly in the details... and the details are where H.R. 822 gets sticky.
This bill isn’t just about the right to carry for self defense -- it’s a battle over the role of government and the ability to restrict our Second Amendment rights.
Once gun owners let the Obamacrats start mandating whether states recognize permit reciprocity, they will want to mandate what it takes to get and keep those permits.
We’re talking about:
More onerous standards to acquire a permit, so that only FBI agents can pass muster (look at New York’s permit system);
Higher fees;
More training requirements;
A demonstration of “Need” for a permit;
More frequent renewal periods;
Federally-mandated waiting periods;
A national database of all permit holders, accessible by Attorney General Eric Holder;
An extensive, federally-created list of Criminal Safezones, where only criminals will carry and where law-abiding gun owners are vulnerable;
The list of potential problems is endless.
I need you to call House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith at (202)225-4236 and make clear that you want to keep the government’s hands off your permit and that you oppose federal intrusion into the concealed weapons permit process.
I haven’t even mentioned that this legislation would shred the Constitutional Carry provisions that are on the books in Arizona, Alaska, Vermont and Wyoming.
It doesn’t stop with just concealed carry. They’ll co-opt the bill to expand the national Brady Registration Check system to block military veterans with PTSD or individuals with misdemeanor convictions from even OWNING firearms -- much less use them for self defense.
I don’t believe the intentions of the bill sponsors are intrinsically bad -- they’re just naive and misguided.
Many statists in Washington will co-opt H.R. 822 as part of their grab for more federal power and less individual liberty.
Even now, the statists in Congress are trying to adopt a National ID card, complete with biometric data that they’ve forced the states to conform to their mandated drivers license “standards.” The National Association for Gun Rights has been part of a group of liberty-minded organizations which have passed state legislation forbidding cooperation with a National ID card.
While many in the institutional gun control lobby will tell you this is a step forward for CCW permit holders, make no mistake, the National CCW Registration Act is a misguided attempt to protect our rights. It’s like asking the fox to guard the hen house.
They will use this bill as the foundation to create a federal database of CCW permit holders. And then they can link it everywhere the Feds have database connections -- state police, doctors and insurance companies under Obamacare, and Medicaid/Medicare.
I’m sorry, but I refuse to entrust my liberty and privacy to a “trust us, they won’t do that” approach to dealing with Obama, the gun-grabbers or frankly most politicians of either party in Washington.
I need you to make some noise, right now!
Here’s what you can do to help
I need you to call House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith at (202)225-4236 and make clear that you want to keep the government’s hands off your permit and you are opposed to federal intrusion into the concealed weapons permit process.
Once you’ve called Chairman Smith, please consider chipping in $15 or $20 to help the National Association for Gun Rights continue to fight the anti-gunners in Washington.
It’s imperative that we stop H.R. 822 -- the National CCW Registration Act -- before it gathers steam and support.
Liberal Republicans and so-called “conservative” Democrats are looking for an easy “pro-gun” vote to give them cover before the next election.
A Trojan Horse gun control bill like H.R. 822 is exactly the kind of legislation that will get support on both sides of the aisle in Washington D.C. And remember, the Democrat-controlled Senate has to pass it before it gets to Obama... so this bill will only get worse.
That’s why you and I have to make noise, now!
Please call House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith at (202)225-4236 and relay the message that gun owners oppose H.R. 822, the Trojan Horse gun control bill. Make clear that you want to keep the federal government’s hands off the state-run CCW permit system.
Thank you for joining me in this important fight against the National CCW Registration Act.
For Freedom,
Dudley Brown
Executive Director
P.S. Please call House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith at (202)225-4236 and make clear that you want to keep the government’s hands off your permit. Tell him you oppose federal intrusion into the concealed weapons permit process.
Once you’ve called Chairman Smith, please consider chipping in $15 or $20 to help the National Association for Gun Rights continue to fight the anti-gunners in Washington.

Almost half a millennium ago a printer scrambled a galley of type to produce the first pangram for a specimen book. The text was in Latin, of course, and so only 23 letters were required (Latin does not use J , V or W; however V is now used to represent the consonantal U, and sometimes J to represent consonantal I).
The phrase was rather nonsensical Latin. It is the most famous Latin pangram text and it is still used, in a remarkably little-altered form, by typographical designers:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit,
diam nonnumy eiusmod tempor incidunt ut labore et dolo...
In itself this makes little sense, but a little research reveals that it is composed from fragments of a passage in Cicero's De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum (45BC):
Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum
quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit...
This means There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it, and wants to have it, simply because it is pain...
There are many, many versions of the lorem ipsum pangram sentence, and you are unlikely to come across any two which are identical. It has evolved slowly with use, through a combination of typing errors and deliberate – usually subtle – humorous additions. Some versions are no longer than the example given above, whilst others have been extended to several hundred words. Most importantly, especially when the text is used to demonstrate a font, the letters not found in the Latin alphabet have been added in too.
Author: 163 Million Female Babies Aborted
Parental preference for producing sons rather than daughters in a number of societies has led to the aborting of more than 160 million female babies since the late 1970s, an author contends.
Writing about the book “Unnatural Selection” by Mara Hvistendahl, Jonathan V. Last, a senior editor at the Weekly Standard, notes that the natural ratio of 105 boys for every 100 girls is “biologically ironclad.”
But in India today there are 112 boys born for every girl. In China, there are 121 boys for every girl, and in many towns the male figure is over 150. In Armenia, the figure is 120.
What is causing the skewed ratio is abortion.
“If the male number in the sex ratio is above 106, it means that couples are having abortions when they find out the mother is carrying a girl,” Last writes in an article that appeared in The Wall Street Journal.
"By Ms. Hvistendahl’s counting, there have been so many sex-selective abortions in the past three decades that 163 million girls, who by biological averages should have been born, are missing from the world.”
What made the skewed ratio possible is the availability of amniocentesis in the mid-1970s, and later ultrasound, to determine the gender of a child before birth.
Last cites an ad put out by an Indian clinic that states, “Better 500 rupees now than 5,000 later,” referring to the price of a sex-determination test versus the cost of a dowry for a daughter.
Skewed sex ratios have had some unpleasant and often violent repercussions through history, Hvistendahl points out, citing the dearth of women along the frontier in the “wild” American West. In 1870, the sex ratio west of the Mississippi was 120 to 100, and in California it was 166 to 100.
“Today in India,” Last observes, “the best predictor of violence and crime for any given area is not income but sex ratio.”
Last also cites the danger that with prenatal sex determination reducing the number of females, “a small but still significant group of the world’s women will end up being stolen or sold from their homes and forced into prostitution or marriage.”
And he goes on to say that “if ‘choice’ is the moral imperative guiding abortion, then there is no way to take a stand against ‘gendercide.’ Choice is choice.”
Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat has the last laugh
By Colin Freeman
Last Updated: 3:01pm GMT 19/01/2008
He was the strange television reporter from the country no-one had never heard of, and they were the unsuspecting Americans who helped him in his quest to learn the ways of the West.
The residents of a Romanian village have already sued over being depicted as inbred peasants in Baron Cohen's film.
Now, having mercilessly lampooned his interviewees in his film Cultural Learnings of America for make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakstan, spoof newsman Borat Sagdiev is having the last laugh over those who failed to see the joke.
A US court has thrown out a lawsuit against Borat’s creator, the British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, brought by one of his unwitting victims - who says she was left embarrassed and humiliated after being duped into appearing in the movie.
The claim was filed by Kathie Martin, an etiquette tutor from Birmingham, Alabama, who attempted to teach the apparently sexist and bigoted Kazakh some modern American manners.
As the resulting film footage showed, the task of turning Borat into a Southern gentleman was doomed to failure: in the movie, he proudly shows her . . .

CHAPTER 4
Gann’s Chart-Reading Technique
Gann was a big believer in using financial charts to judge the soundness of common stocks and commodities. “All of the information that affects the future price of [stocks and commodities] is contained in its fluctuations and you need nothing more than its record of prices,” he used to say. Most of his work was based around various ways of interpreting the chart, and without it, his forecasting success would have been largely impossible.
Momentum EA Puts Up Shocking Numbers
Submitted by Jason Fielder on April 1, 2010 – 9:05 pmNo Comment.
Every once in a while, I have what I’d like to call a “moment of clarity”. Recently, I was thinking about how to use what MetaTrader has already given us (in the way of indicators) to build a complete system with. As I was thinking about what indicators to put together to logistically create a new system, I thought to myself — “why not make a system simply with two of the SAME indicator?”. Thus, the “Momentum Cross” system was born. As it was being coded and tested by my system developers and myself, I didn’t know what to expect. The results shocked me, and I felt like I just HAD to share it with all of you.
As some of the other trading labs, the rules to this system are relatively simple as well. I only use one indicator, but I use two of them (with different settings):
#1 - Momentum indicator with the setting of “1″ on Close price
#2 – Momentum indicator with the setting of “8″ on Close price
NOTE: For the long and short examples below, when I say “#1 momentum indicator” and “#2 momentum indicator”, look at the above #1 and #2 for reference.
For a long: The #1 momentum indicator is currently GREATER than the #2 momentum indicator. The previous candle must have the #1 momentum indicator SMALLER than the #2 momentum indicator. So, as soon as they cross on the current candle, if the current candle is a LONG candle (current close is above current open), then go long as soon as the 2 indicators cross.
For a short: The exact same entry rules for a long (#1 momentum indicator going above #2 momentum indicator on THIS candle, etc.). Except, if the current candle is a SHORT candle (current close is below current open), then go short as soon as the 2 indicators cross.
It seems odd and awkward to have 2 different momentum indicators, and having to compare the values on each tick. So, to make things easier, we took the liberty of the “weekly indicator” to build you a FXI-MomentumCross indicator!! This will allow you to have a MACD-style indicator that is simply the 2 momentum indicators on top of one another. Check the weekly indicator for this week if you would like this indicator (optional to run this system, not required).
When I tested this, I tested 2 different variables:
1) Left the “fast” Momentum indicator at 1, but tested the “slow” Momentum indicator (everything from 3 to 10). The “8″ setting was consistently best, so ALL the tests were run with a “1″ in the fast momentum setting, and a “8″ in the slow momentum setting.
2) Tested the stop loss and take profit, at a 1 to 1. On the hour, tested everything from 20 to 60. On the 4H, tested everything from 50 to 150. And on Daily, everything from 50 to 300.
We tested on both a short term timeframe (everything from December 2009 to present date), and a long term timeframe (everything from January 2007 to December 2009). Check the results in the video below to see me walk through how this system performed, and what to look for.

Bulls keep the faith in Check Point
March 15, 2010 Mon 12:05 AM CT
Check Point Software keeps rallying higher, and the bulls aren't losing faith yet.
optionMONSTER's tracking systems detected the sale of about 5,000 July 32.50 puts for $0.90, pushing volume in the strike to nearly three times open interest. The trade reflects confidence in the software company, which would have to lose 9 percent of its value through expiration for the investor to lose money.
CHKP rose 0.17 percent to $34.76 on Friday and is up 6 percent in the last month. The maker of data-security products has been climbing steadily along with bullish options activity in the past year. It's now trading at its highest levels since March 2002.
The trader may have chosen the 32.50 strike to write the puts because it's close to the $30 level where the shares found support last month after correcting lower.
The transaction follows a similar transaction on Feb. 25, when an investor sold October 30 puts to earn premium. The activity reflects an expectation CHKP will hold its ground and implied volatility will decline, eroding the value of the options sold short.
A straddle was also written in December, which follows the same pattern.
Implied volatility has been steadily waning in CHKP and now stands at the lowest level in at least three years.
Kylie Minogue's ancestors lived in Thornbury and worked on Bristol trams
Monday, February 01, 2010, 07:00
Australian pop star Kylie Minogue's roots have been traced all the way back to the town of Thornbury, but her relatives were not all quite so well behaved.
The ever-popular singer's great-great grandfather appeared at Thornbury Magistrates' Court 120 years ago on charges of indecent assault, reports in a national newspaper have claimed.
Morgan Riddiford lived in the village in the 1890s, with his widowed mother Sarah and two sisters, according to the genealogy website Findmypast.com.
Born in 1875, he was brought before the South Gloucestershire court when he was just 16 years old, along with 18-year-old co-defendant William Sainsbury.
Court records in the National Archives show the pair pleaded guilty to an indecent assault on 14-year-old Mary Ann Tandy.
They were charged with "beating, wounding, ill-treating and doing other wrongs to her".
Riddiford and Sainsbury appeared before Mr Justice Mathew at Gloucestershire Assizes in November 1890, who sentenced Miss Minogue's ancestor to nine months' hard labour in Gloucester prison.
The court was told that the pair had been out following a group of girls in Thornbury with a third boy, 14-year-old William Smart, one Sunday evening.
Mary, who was one of the three girls being followed, was in the service of local farmer John Clarke. When the boys set upon Mary, her father Lewis heard the screams and ran to investigate.
Smart fled the scene but later gave evidence about his two friends, the court records show.
After his release from prison, Riddiford moved to Bristol to work as a tram inspector, and married a local girl, also called Mary.
According to the 1901 census, he lived in Bristol when he was 26.
The Minogue dynasty moved to Australia when Kylie's grandmother Millie Jones emigrated from Maestag, South Wales, years later.
Millie's daughter Carol Jones married Ron Minogue and had three children.
Kylie would go on to star in the Australian soap Neighbours before selling 68 million records in her hugely successful pop career.
She was awarded the OBE for services to music in 2008.
Her sister Dannii is one of the judges on The X Factor talent show programme.

Aussie pop-princess, Kylie Minogue was pictured smiling for photographers as she left her West London apartment to go to a recording studio. - Earl/Clements/Splash NewsBy Philippa Bourke Jan 27, 2010, 1:15 GMT
The Minogue family tree came to light on January 26, Australia Day.
The lineage of the talented sisters who were discovered in Australia but have found fame and happiness in the UK was revealed to be a mix of both countries.
The Daily Telegraph in Sydney claims the discovery of a convict relative will have the British in a state of glee. A census from the year 1891 showed the sisters' great-grandfather Morgan Riddiford was a convict at HM Prison Gloucester in England.
The same search turned up the name of their mother, Carol Jones, on passenger lists from a 1950s emigration program. Jones was born in Wales and moved to Australia at age 12 with her parents. She sailed on a £10 ticket in 1955 to start a new life in the Antipodes.
Jones married Ron Minogue before settling down in Melbourne, Victoria. Kylie said: 'People come up to me and tell me they think I'm more British than the British. I've lived here [in the UK] for more than 10 years and I feel totally at home – though in my heart I'll always be an Aussie.'

by Sam Collins 01/11/10
SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) -- This exchange-traded fund (ETF) seeks to mirror the price of gold bullion.
As early as April 9, 2009, at $86.33, I put GLD's target at $125. On Dec. 3, GLD rose to a high of over $119.
Now, with gold trading at $1,139 an ounce, with an end-of-the-year target of $1,300 from S&P, our original target of $125 seems to be achievable.
Buying now could result in a healthy profit as buyers rotate back into gold.

Coverage of First Annual World’s Fair Use Day
Posted: 14 Jan 2010 12:09 PM PST
The First Annual World’s Fair Use Day (WFUD) took place on January 12 here in Washington, D.C. in a free event produced by Public Knowledge. It included discussions with artists, documentary filmmakers, lawyers, activists and musicians interested in celebrating and supporting the concept of Fair Use for artistic and cultural expression. This was a unique way to hear about projects employing fair use topics from the people who created them. Examples of speakers include:
Irish artist Dan Walsh who created “Garfield Minus Garfield“, an almost existential reworking of the Garfield comic strip
Chris Burke, producer, This Spartan Life, which uses video content from video games like Halo for an entertaining talk show
Musician DJ Earworm who creates music mashups combining the top Billboard songs of the year, which also appear on his YouTube channel
In addition to talking to creators, the event highlighted legal and policy work in this area, such as the work of the Center for Social Media at American University and their efforts in various areas of best practices. At the lunch talk, Professors Peter Jaszi (American University) and Anthony Falzone (Stanford Center for Internet and Society) responded to audience questions surrounding fair use topics. Even in discussing failed defenses in a fair use case involving a Harry Potter Lexicon, Professor Jaszi sees positive developments. He called this a victory for fair use, saying that the federal court’s decision should help refine judicial tests for fair use factors, especially in the Second Circuit. For instance, he says that loss of licensing revenue is gone from the factor analysis here.
Look to Rebecca Tushnet’s blog for a detailed summary of the entire event: Part One | Part Two. You can also read a Wrapup on TechDirt, and all recordings from the events will be online at WFUD.info.
Mark your calendars for January 2011 for next year’s event.

Netflix (NFLX) -- This provider of online movie rental subscription services in the United States has been in a bull market since November 2008, when it double-bottomed below $19.
Since then, the stock broke through a double-top in January 2009, which launched it not only to a new high, but confirmed a long-term triple-top breakout.
Recent profit-taking has pulled it back from the high of $61.65, but any weakness should be viewed as a buying opportunity.
Investors may wish to take a half position now, and then a full position if NFLX pulls back below $50.
The target for traders is $67, but long-term investors could see much higher prices.
The Technical Setup: Team Trading buy setup (VBS). NG has been in an uptrend most of this year. A sharp pullback at the beginning of December, after making a new daily high, tested the five dollar support area. The next rally rocketed to test the prior high, with a bullish wide range bar (+WRB). This pullback has four red bars, a 50% retracement, and is right to the rising 20 period moving average. Friday, the stock gapped bullishly over the prior small red bar, triggering the buy setup. We will look for follow through to that move.
The Play: Traders can buy NG as a swing trade over 6.17, with a protective stop under 5.80. We will look for targets of 6.79 and 7.49.
Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX) -- This exchange-traded fund (ETF), which attempts to replicate the price and yield performance of the Amex Gold Miners Index, is in a bull market with the bull market support line at $44 and the 200-day moving average at $42.
This has been a very successful trading stock for the "Trade of the Day." After initially recommending traders take a half position, our last comment on Nov. 4, with the stock trading at $46.64 was, "A full position could be initiated below $40. The trading target remains unchanged at $50 to $55."
The stock didn't pull back to $40, but did run to $55.40.
Now GDX appears to be in buying range again after a healthy round of profit-taking and a reversal off of its major bull market trendline, coupled with a stochastic buy signal.
The trading target, for GDX is $52, but crises or renewed inflation could result in much higher prices.

"Today's play is a possible long swing trade, from the daily charts, on VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS INC. (VZ).
Sector: Technology – Telecom Services - Domestic
Next Earnings Date: January 26th
The Technical Setup: VCM buy setup (VBS). VZ set a bottom in late October (1) and quickly changed the trend to an uptrend, on a mid November breakout. Since the change of trend, VZ has been in what we refer to as a “Powertrend”. The price has held a strong uptrend that hasn’t returned to the 20 period moving average, until now. Powertrends are great, but often are hard to get entries, because of the constant aggressive buying. Since the high last week, (3), VZ is now offering the first daily VBS since the new uptrend began. Two days ago VZ formed a bottoming tail at the 20ma and in the area of minor support.
The Play: Traders can buy VZ as a swing trade over 33.12, with a protective stop under 32.28. We will look for targets of 34.94 and 39.44."
