Pattern: "Little Dahlia" by Chris Simon.

I'm back to making the 6" squares. The three I have made so far have worked out to be the same perfect size. This was an easy one! You know how I'm partial to flower blocks.

By the way, Crochet Pattern Central is an excellent directory of patterns! The site has tons of patterns for squares, and they are categorized by size.

crochet rug made from tshirts

I knew from the moment I saw this tutorial on CraftStylish that I wanted to make a crochet tshirt rug.

I used eleven tshirts for this. At first I did cut them all into continuous strips like in the tutorial, but the second half I cut up in strips of rings with my rotary cutter and joined all of the strips. I don't know which method is more time consuming. They're probably about the same. I made the whole thing yesterday, from cutting to crocheting, so it is a pretty quick project. My colorful rug is 26" in diameter, and I think it is going to replace the ugly neutral one I have in my bathroom now. I think it should be pretty easy to run through the wash and shouldn't shed all over my washing machine like the old one did. Maybe someday I'll make a huge one, but I'm far more likely to finish a project if it can all be done in one day!

vintage cups and glasses

vintage cups and glasses, originally uploaded by Adaiha.

My favorite is the Sabrina the Teenage Witch one in the forefront. It must have been a jelly jar or something because it has a little stamp on the bottom.

Since I'm from Tennessee, I was excited to add this one to my collection.

quilted potholder and placemats

I found this pretty potholder and two of these placemats this weekend. The potholder looks like it could have been made from a kitchen towel, but the stitching is so perfect that I figure it was not homemade. How are you supposed to use fabric placemats without getting them horribly stained? I've never figured out how to do this.

Adding to my collection of lotus bowls. I had never seen a plastic one before, but here you go. I love the olive color!

red record bowl

red record bowl

By now, I assume that everyone knows how to make record bowls, so I'll skip the explanation. I found this record at my favorite event of the year, the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale held every February at the Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

I had my oven temperature too high, which resulted in the super melty effect. I like it.

coasters

coasters

I have several sets of these for sale in my etsy shop. This was a great project to use up some smaller pieces of vintage fabric that I had left over from other things. I love how they turned out!
