Los Crudos / Infest Posters...

my band Suspect was asked to play these 2 Los Crudos / Infest reunion shows here in the southern california area, so i designed and screen printed some posters for them....  these are 3 color screen printed 24" x 18" posters on 100 lb cover stock....

Modern Life Is War Screen Prints....

i was asked to design and screen print some show posters for Modern Life Is War back in December for 3 shows they were playing in California.  i decided to make the three prints a three-panel triptych... each poster is a 3 color screen print on 18" x 24" 100lb cover stock paper, and the three images combine to make one single image...

Modern Life Is War Screen Printed Posters...

i was asked to design and screen print a few posters for Modern Life Is War recently.... this first one was for a show in their Iowa hometown,  it's a 4 color 18" x 24" screen print on 120lb charcoal linen paper...

the next three were for back to back shows on the east coast.  instead of making a single tour poster with the three dates listed, we decided to go with a triptych series and created individual screen print for each show.  all three posters are 3 color screen prints on 18" x 24" 100lb white cover stock....

Stunted Child DVD...

here's an interesting one...  Joe Lachut (who you may remember from his zine "Seven Inches to Freedom" which i have previously reviewed on this blog) just self released a DVD called "Stunted Child".  this is an art film that Joe wrote, directed, stars in, composed the music to, and of course designed and screen printed the packaging to.  holy hell, that's a whole lotta time invested into a project by one person.  clearly, Joe is a man who fully understands that if you want something done right in this world, you gotta do it yourself!  

i really like the cover art that Joe came up with for this dvd, the use of photo-abstraction combined with illustration makes for an exciting double image.  the type sits precisely kearned out over the image at the bottom of the design with little fan fare.  overall a very beautiful image....

the folded card stock jackets that hold the dvd are 3 color screen prints, and these things are pixel-perfect.  making these custom jackets surely required a lot of planning and forethought, and Joe did not cut any corners.  the folds are scored and very precisely lined up for each panel, here is a shot of the back of the dvd....

here is a shot of what you see when you open the case.  instead of printing these things front and back, the interior panels were printed in line with the outer panels and then folded inward and glued.  not only does this make the front and back covers double thick, but it also allows for a custom cut pocket inlay for a booklet to be kept.  on the right side, a clear-backed jewel case was glued on top of the folded back panel for the dvd to sit....

the 8 page full-color photocopied booklet measures 3.75" x 6.25" and contains an explanation of how the project manifested and also contains some still shots in with the liner notes.  have a look....

these dvd's are limited to 100 copies and only $12!?!?!?  support the arts and pick yourself up a copy from Joe directly

Kent State - Behind Closed Doors package....

the wonderful people over at Novelty Haus made these awesome limited edition merch packs for my shoegaze/noise pop band Kent State.  using the art created by the lovely Emma Maatman for the cassette release of "Behind Closed Doors", they made up some limited edition 12"x12" 2 color screen printed posters on black paper, a t-shirt, 2 pins and a digital download card all packed up in a 12" record sleeve.  unfortunately, i wasn't able to post this up before these all sold out thru Novelty Haus, but luckily there are still a handful for sale up in the Paranoid Futures webstore!  check out the pics....

New Artwork....

here are the new art pieces i made for 2 separate group shows that i was asked to be in this month.  both of these pieces are 18" x 24" screen printed test sheets from my print shop that i illustrated on top of with black india ink.  "Give Me Death" was sent out to Philadelphia for the P.A.W.S. Benefit art show and is on display now thru the end of the month.  "No Sun No Tan" will be on display here in southern california at the "California Gold" benefit art show this weekend at the O.C. Fair Grounds....

Catholic Spit - 12" Test Press Covers...

local dark-punks Catholic Spit hit me up to design and screen print these limited edition covers for the test press version of their debut Lp.  these are 3 color screen print covers on 120lb charcoal duplex linen paper...

i just finished printing these Title Fight posters that i was asked to design for a promoter out in New Jersey.  these are 3 color screen prints on 18" x 24" 100lb cover stock paper.  these will only be available at the show.

INFEST Screen Printed Poster...

New Blacklisted Tour Posters...

i recently finished screen printing these 2 tour posters i designed for Blacklisted to take with them to Australia and Japan.  each poster is an 18" x 24" 3 color screen print on 100lb cover stock paper and were produced in very limited quantities....

Strange Obsessions Art Opening...

some of you may have noticed that this blog has been a ghost town over the past month or so. i have been very busy getting everything in order for the opening reception of my 3rd solo art show at Cella Gallery in North Hollywood this past saturday.  the show was titled "strange obsessions" and featured a new collection of large-scale mono prints as well as a selection of collage art, art prints, and even some of my daily drawings.  take a look at some pics from the event that my good friend walter took and sent over, and be sure to stop by the gallery if you are in the area!  the show will run thru october 13th...

i just finished printing these new Blacklisted tour posters that i designed for them to sell on their upcoming trip to california.  these are 4 color 18" x 24" screen prints on 100lb uncoated cover stock.  they were printed in an edition of 86 (mentality), so be sure to go see them if you want to grab one...

New Blacklisted Print...

here is yet another poster i designed and screen printed this past week....  this is a 2 color screen print on 80lb red linen paper that i designed for the band Blacklisted for them to sell at their Sound & Fury show.  they are 8.5" x 23" and were printed in an edition of 90.
