Just For You

Hello Everyone,

Hey, thanks for stopping in today.

Since its the first Tuesday of the month,
it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
over at Craft-Dee BowZ

Now that April is here I decided to use a floral stamp. My stamp kind of reminds me of a dandelion which we all seem to fight throughout the warm weather season. I just got this stamp in a set that I ordered late last week from Rubbernecker.
Now I really didn't need a new stamp set, but I fell in love with the whole set
(organic set #3)

Let me share my card with you.

Let's check out The Bow

I decided to use a triple loop bow.
And I placed the bow on the side of the card. It was the perfect spot.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used a white Hug Snug Seam Binding for this bow. (One of my fav's)

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.
Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool
is the best tool out there to aid you in making your bows.

The tool is small, easy to store, easy to use and so portable.

April Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge

Hello Everyone,

WOW another month has flown by. And since its the 1st of the month that means it's time for a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Let me share with you my inspiration card
and if you go to the Craft-Dee BowZ blog
you will see the other designers inspiration cards as well.

Since we are experiencing some great spring weather here in my area, I got out a flower stamp from Rubbernecker. The dilemma I had when making my card was what color to use on the flowers. Well I will be the first to tell you I am not a huge lover of orange, but that's the color I went with.
Go figure. LOL

This card is an A-7 card (5"X7"). I didn't want to make a square card and the stamped image is kind of large, so I went with that size.

The stamp set I chose is a 2 step set and only has 3 blooms on it. I wanted the look of a bouquet, so I stamped the image again on the left side and then on the right side of the first stamp.

See those six sided yellow/orange pieces I added to the card, I used a punch on some orange and yellow paint sample chips.I punched them out layered them offset and I popped those up.

I outlined the blossoms with orange glitter and added gold glitter to the centers.

Next I wanted the illusion of the ribbon tied around the bouquet, so I cut a slit on the right and left sides of the stems and drew my ribbon thru the slits and added a double loop bow.

Let me show you a closer view of the bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make that bow.
I chose to make a double loop bow. I think it's the perfect size for this image.
The Craft-Dee BowZ tool is so versatile, I can make a bow from 1" to 4 1/2" Perfect sizes for cards gifts and whatever else you want to add a bow to.

The tool takes up so little room, stores easy and the bows are spectacular!!

    Butterflies

    Hi Everyone

Today I want to share a card I made for my monthly club. We meet each month and we have a challenge item that we are given and it is up to the individual members to come up with a card/project  using that item and bring it to the next meeting.

Last month we were given a few die cut butterflies, cut from black CS.

Well since foiling is so big right now I decided to use 2 butterflies and foil them,
but foil them two different ways.

This butterfly was foiled using a glue pen, I added the glue all over the butterfly and I then laid the pink foil over the butterfly and mushed ( that word is one of my Barbara-ism words...  LOL) the foil down on top of the butterfly. I made sure to push with a little force and then I pulled the foil up and presto - it was foiled. Easy peasy

I liked the fact that it wasn't foiled all over - it looks kind of distressed. Just the way I wanted it.

OK, for the smaller butterfly  I decided to use my laminator and a Heidi Swapp toner pen.
The laminator I have is electric and has 2 heat settings and I ordered it off Amazon and only paid $20.00 plus shipping. What a bargain.

I used the HS toner pen and applied the toner over the butterfly . Since the toner is black and the butterfly is black CS, it was somewhat hard to see if I had toner over the majority of the butterfly.I placed a gold foil sheet on this butterfly and then fed  it into the laminator
    Here is  what I got.

Again a distressed look and that's what I wanted. That laminator works great. BTW, I used a Heidi Swapp transfer folder to feed the butterfly thru the machine. Works like a champ.

    Here is the completed card

I cut the front panel and used white paint and sponged it over stencils to make the  interesting background, My strips on the side and  bottom  of the panel are from a watercolor paper piece I made a long time ago using various sprays.
I just cut the water color paper into strips and laid them over the panel.
The Stamp is a two step stamp from Rubbernecker.
