plein air oil painting "Grandmother's House"

Another painting from my backyard; I love the dark house and the warm fall colors surrounding it. This house belongs to my niece's neighbors grandmother. I employed a vignette style more commonly seen in watercolor, where the paint is not applied all the way to the edges. It feels softer and more harmonious to me, particularly suited to this type of canvas which needs no frame. Oil paint on gallery wrapped stretched linen, 11x14".

Eastside Yard

A plein air oil painting done in the impressionist tradition. At 11"x14" it is a little larger than I usually work, but done from my yard so easy to deal with transporting, etc.
The palette includes cad lemon, raw sienna, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, napthol red and quick dry white. the support is a linen covered panel i made myself, and is one of my favorite supports.

available for purchase thru paypal at 160.00 plus $15.00 for shipping.

Oak overlook, Lake California

A lovely easter sunday painting, my kind of church.

9 x 12" oil on pintura panel. the canvas texture on this panel kinda confuses my camera at times; so there is a some patterning in the photo.
