This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Gold or Silver (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I feel that silver is a bit more modern than gold when it comes to jewellery and that preference also translates into my cards too.  I've used a silver mirri card as the backdrop for my Santa image, embossed and embellished with a frosty border die.  The only trouble with mirri card is that it's so hard to photograph!  I've also used silver on the image itself, where I've used a silver gel pen to colour the ribbon on the present that Santa's hiding behind his back!

... and here's a close-up to show the silver gel pen I used on the bow of the image.

Easy challenge for me I LOVE silver and I really don't like gold
Even all my jewelry is white gold which looks like silver
So that is why I choose silver.

Brenda

Silver, hands down, is my favorite!  I love the wonderful cool feel of silver or platinum, it's so perfect for Christmas cards.

Elaine

I like silver more than gold. It looks especially good with blue at Christmas time.

Lori

My favorite would have to be silver....I prefer it for jewelry and also for crafting. To me, it's more versatile and goes with everything and it shines better than gold LOL....

Lorraine

I love both but when creating a frosty Christmas card scene I love to use Silver, it certainly adds to the Wintry feel of a project or card.
I have used silver mirri card here but it is notoriously difficult to photograph - it always turns out looking black.

Mojca

Well, I like silver better, it has such beautiful shine and I think it just looks wonderful on Christmas cards, don't you?

Sarah

Ooh, a conundrum indeed!! I wear both gold or silver jewellery depending on my outfit so use the same approach to matching paper. In this case I used silver  to compliment the icy blue of my papers.

Squirrel

I love the warmth and mellowness of gold, and of course it was one of the gifts brought to Jesus by the Three Wise Men

Suzette

**coming soon**

Wilma

For me it's silver. I love the 'icy' look of it. And with white it's kind of winter for me, which I love. And it also has an elegant look.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Gold or Silver (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Film or Song (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I like lots of film genres, but I do like science fiction

and one of my favourite films is The Matrix
(if you want to know why I like it,
and why this card reminds me of that film,
then head over to my blog where I've explained!)
;0)

Samantha
Ohhh Hard hard hard..... fav film OH my to many to choose just one so I will go
with my fav song.... HAHAHHAAA just as hard sooooo... I will choice Nelly the elephant
Because I was singing it with our granddaughter this last weekend and also loved making a
crochet one too! which you can see on my blog :)

Brenda

I grew up in Kansas so that kinda explains my love of the Wizard of Oz.  One of the songs from the movie is also one of my most favorites.  I love Somewhere Over the Rainbow by the Hawaiian artist, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.

Elaine

I do like romantic films or a good comedy. My inspiration for this card is the film 'You've Got Mail' with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

Kat

Dr. Hubby and I are not the biggest romantics but we both really loved the song Flower by Eels when we got together so is basically 'our song' and that of course, makes it my favourite :-)

Lori

This card is inspired by a favorite song of mine from Adele "Hello." I love her strong voice, the lyrics and I sing it out loud any chance I get! :)

Lorraine

My Favourite Film is The Addams Family, the 1991 version with Anjelica Huston as Morticia.
I love fantasy/fictional stories but not horror films so this fits the bill. All the quirky characters have an endearing quality, even Uncle Fester.

Mojca

I decided for one of the romantic movies that is really one of my favourite ones ... The Bridges of Madison County :) I loveeeeee Clint Eastwood and it's such atypical movie for his persona but he is brilliant in it ... so I made a wedding cards as it's a love story :) and yes, I always always cry at the end in case you wondered :P

Sarah

I could have picked many favourite films but one that I watch every Christmas, without fail, (and throughout the year too!!) is White Christmas, I love it. Why? I just do!!

Squirrel

If I were to choose ten films for a desert island, then every one of them would be Pixar!  It was so hard to choose an absolute favourite, but Toy Story will always have a special place in my heart.  Thankfully there's no snake in my boots.

Suzette

Wilma
I am a fan of "Queen" and every time I see that bike die it is the song "Bicycle race" that immediately pops into my head. And I really love to ride my bike.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Film or Song (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

your Favourite Big or Little Bows (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I'm definitely into my double bows, so I'd say the bigger the better! I love satin ribbons (I have a whole array of 15mm wide satins in all the colours under the sun) and love matching them to my papers.

My favourites are small bows they are just so dainty and

always fit the project no matter the size of the project and also make perfect flower centres too.

Brenda

I usually go for small bows.  I think they just add that super cute factor.  They also make it a little easier to mail.

Elaine

I prefer small bows. I think they add a little dimension to what would be a plain project.

Kat

It's little bows for me because I love how cute they look and they are perfect for tying on a sentiment tag

Lori

I prefer little bows as I feel they can add just the right "small" touch to any card! You can use them under buttons, and to hang small charms :)

Lorraine

It's small bows for me, I find them easier to tie and not so bulky for posting too.

Mojca

I love to use big bows because they give a special touch to the cards. I especially like to use them on baby cards and this one is made for a special baby girl.

Sarah

I always think bows add bulk to cards which need to be posted so rarely use them.
However, when the need arises, and the card is to be hand delivered, I use the not too big and not too small pegs on my bowmaker as you can see here...

Squirrel

Personally, bows are the frippery of the devil, so I avoid them wherever I can, but I had to use one for the challenge!  I prefer little to large, but, awkward as ever, this one is sort of medium!

Suzette

I did this little bag as one of my demos in one of my craft shows and I I love adding stings and making them into bows.

Wilma

In this case my favorite bow is little. I think it depends on the type of card if it needs a big or little bow.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite of our options.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to win the prize.
