Tilda decorates .... spring! Tilda veut décorer le printemps! (COLOR THROWDOWN CTD 238

Je me fais rare dernièrement! C'est qu'il y a beaucoup d'action : nous avons acheté une nouvelle voiture, notre aîné et sa conjointe se sont achetés une maison et notre plus jeune fait maintenant partie de la famille d'un studio québécois d,animation 3D. Je n'ai pas chômé cependant; j'aurai quelques autres projets à vous présenter sous peu. Aujourd'hui, c'est une carte de fête mettant en vedette cette chère Tilda qui veut décorer le printemps! Elle aurait fort à faire à  Montréal, car jusqu,a ce matin, les crocus frissonnaient, alors les jonquilles sont cachées! J'adore les jonquilles, et cette Tilda est particulièrement charmante!

I have been quiet lately! so many things going on: we just bought a new car, our eldest son and DIL bought a house, and our youngest has joined the ranks as a 3D artist in a renamed studio in Montreal. I have been in my craftroom, relaxing and creating, however! I will have a few projects to present as soon as I can get time to fix the pictures! Today, I would like to share with you a birthday card featuring lovely Tilda trying to embellish spring, well she will have a lot of work to do in Montreal, as the crocus are shivering! I love daffodils and this Tilda is particularily cute!

Je suis tout à fait en amour avec ces papiers de la collection Moments de  MME, un peu vintage et dans les tons de blancs, jaune et bleu! ainsi qu'avec cette matrice de coupe de SU, agencée au plioir de bordure. J'ai utilisé un carton blanc, encré et embossé avec la poudre irirescente. Tilda est coloriée aux copics sur x-press blending card. Je trouve que j'y suis allée un peu fort avec le brillant sur la fleur, mais c'était ma première utilisation des plumes Wink of Stella Brush et je ne m'attendais pas à un tel flot de brillants! 

I love very much those papers from MME, Moments collection. They are a bit vintage, and in pretty shades of white, blue and yellow! I can't wait to use again this pretty set of embossing folder and die cut, by SU. I simply embossed and cut white cardstock, inked in matching colors and heat embossed with iridescent powder. I colored Tilda with copic  on x-press blending card. I think I was a bit generous with the glitter on the flower, but it was my first use of Wink of Stella Brush, and I did not expect such a flow!

Avec le printemps qui tarde à venir s'installer, j'ai une petite carte toute d'été à vous présenter aujourd'hui. Elle a été conçue à la demande spécile de  ma petite nièce, Sophie, avec une recette bien spécifique: du rose, du noir, du blanc, du soccer! Bien Sophie, j'espère qu,elle te plaira! Elle fut longue à concevoir, car le soccer n'est pas une grande source d,inspiration pour moi! Une chance que j'avais Tilda et Edwin pour m'aider! J,ai mis Tilda en vedette sur la face de la carte, avec une petite fenêtre type "shaker" pour y apercevoir Edwin. des petites breloques casquette, fleur et  mot complètent la déco que j'ai voulu assez limitée pour ne pas distraire notre regard des images.

A late posting for me today, featuring a "soccer" theme card for my little niece, who had a specific recipe in mind when she asked me for this card: pink, black, white and SOCCER! Well... soccer is not inspiring for me, thank god I had Tilda and Edwin to take me along! Tilda takes the scene on the front of the card, sitting on a bench, probably watching Edwin from the corner of her eyes! I thought it would be fun to see Edwin through a shaker type window ( I love these cards!)  I decorated the card minimally not to distract our eyes from the game! LOL

Cette carte est en 3 panneaux. on aperçoit ici les 2 premiers:
The card is built in 3 pannels: upon opening the front, we can see the whole soccer scene featuring Edwin.

Puis lorsqu'on ouvre l'intérieur, un espace pour un petit message personnel, ainsi qu'un tableau de choses essentielles quand on est jeune! bien entendu, c'est pas un I-phone, ni un portable ultra mince, mais je trouvais ces images bien représentatives et jolies!
When the last pannel is opened,  we can discover a space to write a little message, and... a "favorite" things board,  or a "yourth survey kit!" well... of course I had no image of an I-Phone, nor one of those sleek laptops! but I thought those images were cute, and so appropriate!

J'offrirai la carte à Sophie, présentée dans sa petite boitatou à son nom, et décorée d'une petite fleur et de breloques!

I will offer Sophie a little boitatou with her name, decorated with a little flower and soccer charms, to keep her card!

Carf Barn Alpha Challenge - Letter P

Hello Blogging Friends,
I'll start by wishing you all a Happy Easter! Lotssssssss of chocolate!
This Easter period inspired me ! I  have been struggling with letter P from the first day on, and this morning I woke up and knew precisely what I wanted to do, the fact that it was Good Friday, all was so quiet around the house, certainly helped!  I found the image of praying hands on the web, and used the beautiful Flower Cross image from Just Inclined digital stamps. I covered my pages with gesso, and used distress inks to make the color background. I printed the cross image on velum paper to take advantage of the transparency, I colored with copics and enhanced with a bit of Stampin Up markers. the image of the hands was printed on acetate, and colored also with copics and SU markers.  The little corner ( Bset from Cherry Lynn) was also used to create the border, I simply cut and pasted bits and pieces. The big letters are chipboards, they were colored and embossed.

Je  vous souhaite tout d,abord une Joyeuses Pâques, beaucoup de chocolat!!!
Bien que je ne sois pas pratiquante, cette période de Pâques m'a certainement inspérirée pour mon défi de cette quinzaine, portant sur la lettre P. Depuis dimanche dernier, je tourne en rond... et ce matin, l'image s'est tout simplement présentée à moi. J,ai fouillé le net pour trouver des mains qui prient, et j'ai acheté de Just Inclined la jolie croix fleurie. J,ai tout d'abord couvert mes page de gesso, je les ai encrées avec les Distress pour colorer le fond. L,image de la croix est imprimée sur un velin, coloriée avec les copics et les accents sont faits avec les crayons de Stampin up. Les mains sont imprimées sur acétate, coloriées de la même façon.  J,ai utilisé  un coin de Cheery Lynn, que j,ai coupé en morceaux pour faire la bordure; les lettres sont de gros chipboard, encrées et embossées.

Voeux d'anniversaire à l'orientale. Oriental Style, Birthday wishes

Bon mercredi sous la neige!

Prenons notre courage à 2 mains, ce sera certainement la dernière! Je vous présente  une carte de fête au style oriental, que je peux maintenant afficher car elle a été remise à sa destinataire. J'adore les geishas et lorsque j'ai vu ce tampon de Lily of the Valley, je n'ai pu y résister. L'inspiration pour la carte m'est venue de Dena (ici). j'ai conçu paysage de fond, à partir d'éléments de la collection de tampons Geisha elements que je me suis permis de compléter, en dessinant les montagnes, en inversant les arbres, et en étirant la petite rivière. Le tout est imprimé sur xpress blending card, et colorié aux copics. J'attire votre attention sur l'élément de carton sous l'image de fond; c'est simplement un carton vanille, gauffré au moyen d'un  plioir de Stampin Up, encré avec différentes couleurs de Distress, enduit d'une couche de Versamark - champagne et de poudre holographique de Ranger et chauffé.

Let,s hope it is the last storm of the year! I am sharing with you today an oriental style birthday card I was asked to create, and has now been given to its rightful owner. I love geishas, and could resist this oriental collection from LOTV. I was inspired by Dena,s card, but wanted to create a very Japanese background for my little geisha. I used some of the Geisha Elements to start with, invertes the trees, draw mountains and little river. I printed my image on xpress blending card and colored with copics. Please take a closer look at the cardstock element under the background image, it is a plan vanilla cardstock, embossed with SU embossing folder, inked with different Distress inks, then embossed with champagne Versamark and holographic powder by Ranger.

J,ai voulu l'intérieur de la carte aussi délicat et stylé que le dessus. La pochette noire est conçue avec une découpe de Marianne creatables. Au dessus, j'ai donné de la dimension à cette mignonne geisha au moyen de la technique de  paper piecing. C'est sur une découpe de Marianne creatables que repose un papier à lettre, décoré de petites fleurs permet d'inscrire des voeux personnels.

I wanted the inside of the card to be as stylish and elegant as the cover. The black pocket is embossed and cut with a marianne creatable die. I paper pieced the little geisha. And on the other side, I cut a lovely parchment paper that I decorated with flowers, matted it with another marianne die cut, to leave plenty of space to write a sentiment.

Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - Letter H

thank you for swinging by my blog today! Well... I almost did not make it! Ouf.... I am sharing with you  my participation at the Craft Barn Alpha Challenge, this fortnight we had to play with letter "H", and I was instantly inspired by  HALLOWEEN. I did not have any stamps that were suitable for  the scenery I had imagined. So... I plunged back in drawing... Here is the result of my "experience"!

Comme j'aime l'Halloween, bien c'était un incontournable. Je n'avais ni images, ni étampes pour créer la scène que j'avais dans ma tête! Alors je me suis retrempée dans le dessin, c'est une expérience Mix-média après tout! voici le résultat:

I covered my pages with Gesso, and played with different kinds of inks to create the sky and the land.

I saw a scary trunk image on the web, and inspired myself with it to create this image.

Après avoir recouvert mes pages de Gesso, j'ai joué avec différentes encres pour créer le ciel et le terrain.

J'ai vu cette image de tronc d'arbre sur le web, et je m'en suis inspirée pour dessiner celle que vous voyez sur cette page.

I played with acrylic paint, crackled paint and glossy accent, on the house that is hand drawn and cut in several layers to support the crackle paint. 

To create the weird "stuff" by the fence, I used snow-tex, mixed with glamour dust and metallic paint. then I dried with my heat gun... it dried bubbly!

J,ai utilisé de la peinture acrilique, du glossy accent et du médium à craqueler en grande quantité! J,ai d'abord dessiné la maison sur un carton bazzil, coupé plusieurs exemplaires collés ensemble pour donner de la dimension, entre lesquelles j'ai inséré un mica jaune pour donner l'effet de lumière. 

La texture au pied de la clôture est un mélange de snow-tex, de glamour dust et peinture métallique, séché à la chaleur, ce qui a fait gonflé le produit, et les bulles ont durci en séchant!!!

Shaker Christmas Card - Carte de Noël, type shaker.

After a beautiful spring day yesterday, we are supposed to have snow... Great, cause I have a Christmas card to share with you today. When I saw this new collection from Wild Rose Studio at Christmast time, I could not resist getting this image - Snowman Hug. I love snowman and this image is soooo sweet. I received from a sweet friend this lovely window die cut that I used to make a shaker card. My image is colored with Copics and I used some Diamond Dust for the snow. My papers are from the Blitzen Collection from BoBunny. Flowers and lace from my stash.

Après une journée presque printannière, nous voilà avec un avertissement de neige pour aujourd'hui... parfait! Je partage avec vous une carte de Noël; Lorsque cette collection de Wild Rose Studio est sortie un peu avant les fêtes, il me fallait cette image - Snowman Hug. J,adore les bonhommes de neige, et cette accolade entre le petit pingouin, le petit ourson et le gros bonhomme est irrésistible! Elle coloriée aux Copics, et enchassée derrière une belle découpe de fenêtre - offerte par une amie. La neige est du Dimond dust, mon produit chouchou de l,an dernier! mes papiers sont de la collection Blitzen de BoBunny. les fleurs et la dentelles de mon inventaire.

tilda blowing heart - petite boite

This morning I would like to share with you a little box I have created for someone special from over the sea! I colored Tilda Blowing Heart from the Love collection 2013 with my copics ; I kept the image very simple, it is slipped under a little piece of acetate to create the frame effect. I used the pretty Valetta Garden papers from Wild Rose Studio, to cover the box, and applied a few coats of Mod Podge to protect and give a glossy shine.

Ce matin je partage avec vous une  boîte crée tout  pour une personne bien spéciale. J'ai colorié Tilda Blowing Heart de la toute dernière collection de Magnolia, Love 2013 avec mes copics. L'image se glisse derrière un acétate à l'intérieur du couvercle pour donner l'effet d'un cadre. Les papiers utilisés pour couvrir la boîte sont de Wild Rose Studio, collection Valetta Garden. J'ai appliqué plusieurs couches de Mod Podge pour protéger et donner un fini luisant.

When opened, the cover of the box stands as an easel. You can keep little notes or even pictures inside.

Le couvercle de la boîte s'ouvre tel un chevalet. À l'intérieur , on peut y garder des petites notes ou des photos.

 I had slipped a few goodies inside the little box, I made a pink  heart stickpin  and a butterfly key chain.  

J,avais glissé quelques surprises à l'intérieur de la boîte, dont une épinglette rose avec un coeur et un porte clef papillon.

Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - Letter E

thank you for swinging by my blog. Today I would like to show you my project for the  Craft BarnAlpha challenge. The letter for his fortnight  is "E";  I immediately thought of England... but soon gave up the idea because of lack of space on my pages; and as I went through my dictionary I  hesitated between "embroidery" and "embellish"... finally "embellish" won! When I thought of "embellishing" I could see a beautiful garden... My inspiration came from a video "creating a flower garden",  I wanted to try the "emboss resist" technique on this thin paper, and wanted to play with transparency again. I did not use any gesso to cover the writing, I played with distress inks and stamped with craft inks - which are not the ideal medium but I did not have any ink (like Ranger Archival) that would cover well, and would not smudge on the embossing (on my wish list). I also wanted to create a blurred and vague kind of image, as if it was seen through fog.  Here is the result:

Aujourd'hui j'aimerais partager avec vous ma page pour le Craft Barn Alpha Challenge;  La lettre proposée pour cette quinzaine  est le "E".  Tout de suite, le mot England s'est imposé à moi, mais j'ai abandonné l'idée en raison dumanque d'espace sur mes pages. J,ai ensuite beaucoup hésité entre  "embroidery" et "embellish"; finalement c'est "Embellish" qui l'a emporté! Ce mot m'inspirait un magnifique jardin... et je venais juste de visualiser cette vidéo "creating a flower garden". La technique du "resist" me tentait beaucoup, je voulais essayer en laissant l'écriture du dictionnaire bien en évidence; une autre façon de jouer avec la transparence. J'ai utiliser les encres distress, mais j'ai étampé avec de l'encre à pigment - ce qui n'est pas idéal; mais je n'avais pas d'encre  -  tel la Ranger Archival - qui résiste à l'eau et couvre sur le gauffrage (sur ma liste de souhait). Je voulais voir mon jardin, comme à travers une brume, une image imprécise et vague. Je crois que j'ai réussi; ce fut amusant, une très belle expérience.

Then, as I had seen from the video, I tried stamping over the distress inks, and the embossing with craft inks, and unfortunately, the result was not as expected. Still, I was able to give the vague and blurred image, as if wind was blowing or as if there was a bit of fog.

Dans ce gros plan de l'image du jardin, on peut apercevoir plus clairement au fond l'embossage à la poudre claire, bien qu'il soit difficile à cause de l'écriture de discerner  l'image elle-même; c'est  un résultat que je ne pouvais prévoir puisque c'est la première fois que je tente ce genre d'expérience. Je voulais étamper le jardin de fleurs par dessus l'embossage, malheureusement, je n'avais pas les encres appropriées - telles les Ranges - Archival; j'ai utilisé de l'encre à pigment, moins brillante et plus dense - ce qui a donné une image moins précise. Je me suis quand même approchée du résultat d'image vague et floue que je souhaitais, comme si le vent faisait doucement bouger toutes les plantes, ou même comme s'il y avait un peu de brume.

Scrapbooking & Beading... 2 passions....

Ce matin j'ai 2 projets différents à partager avec vous. Au printemps passé, j'ai commencé un album avec mes photos de bébé, et par manque de temps, je l'ai laissé de côté. Dernièrement, je me suis réinscrite à l'atelier de scrapbooking offert à notre centre culturel, avec la ferme intention de travailler sur cet album uniquement. Je vous présente ce matin la jumelle de cette première page.

This morning I have 2 different projects to share with you. The first one is a scrapbooking pages, for an album I started last spring, that was left uncompleted because of lack of time. Lately, I joined a group of scrapbookers at our local Cultural Center and made the completion of this album a priority. I had already made the first page, below is her twin sister!

J,ai repris  le sketch de la première page, mais je l'ai disposé différemment; j'y ai placé 2 photos, une de ma maman seule et une avec mon papa. Sur une étiquette en carton aggloméré, j'ai collé l'annonce parue dans le journal local.
I used the same sketch, turned around the elements; showcased 2 pictures, one of my mother and one of both my parents. A lovely chipboard tag with the annoucement of my birth in the local paper is slipped under the main pannel.

Je manquais de papier, alors j'ai tenté d'imiter mon papier design en embossant une étampe de SU - Stitched et en encrant le carton jaune.

Mon 2e projet est un signet doré! J,aime beaucoup créer des signets, les personnaliser pour les offrir à des personnes chères. Celui-ci est pour moi! je l'ai fait tout en jaune, comme une belle journée d'été. Cette petite fleur me rappelle la Floride, j'ai oublié le nom, mais je me souviens du parfum qu'elles répendent le soir... une jolie libellule, une petite plume et des billes couleur de soleil.

On to my 2nd project, a cute gold bookmark! I enjoy making bookmarks, when I create them, I think of the person to whom it will belong, and let myself be inspired. I created this one for me! :) It is the cute little flower that reminds of Florida, and summer that inspired it.

n'est-ce pas que c'est joli glissé dans ce livre ... Tome 4, de Mémoires d'un quartier, de Louise Tremblay-D'Essiambre. J,adore les longues sagas, et celle -ci me plaît tout particulièrement. Je suis devenue une fan inconditionnelle de Madame Tremblay-D'Essiambre.

I am reading a long family saga  (12 volumes !written by one of our great Quebec's authors. I simply can't stop reading...
