JustRite Grand Thank You Sentiments Cling Stamps, December Release, Day Three!

Welcome to Day Three of JustRite's December Release!  Today we are featuring the set, Grand Thank You Sentiments. I took a different angle with one of the sentiments and created a Christmas card!  See, these sets are so totally versatile!  Let's get started!

Grand Thank You Sentiments is a Cling set featuring 12 stamps.  I scissor trimmed out my stamped sentiment and attached it with a foam dimensional.  The A2 Curved Borders One die cuts allow the perfect place for the sentiment. Since I wanted to make this a Christmas card, I stamped Merry Christmas from JustRite's Christmas Vintage Labels One.  The designer paper from Kaisercraft's Gingerbread paper pad is perfect for the tree bling!  I did add the purple Kaisercraft adhesive rhinestones to the tree and another to the seam binding bow.

I actually squealed aloud when I saw Vintage Sentiment Tag die set!  One of my first Spellbinder Tag dies was a trio of the smaller rounded end type die.  I am so keeping this little die set out on my work area!  Makes this girl happy! Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you are enjoying JustRite's December Release!  I know I am!

Here is the list of talent JustRite Designers who had inspiration for you today!  Enjoy!

A Cup of Christmas Tea!

Welcome to my Wednesday 8pm Stamp Simply Ribbon Store post!  I have a simple square card to share!  For many years I've often gifted a holiday book that I love called "A Cup of Christmas Tea" and for many years I wanted to create a coordinating card!  Never happened, until this year!  I used a new to me stamp on this beauty!

The brand is Deep Red and this single stamp is called Flourish Latte!  I stamped it with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink before trimming around the spoon handle with my craft knife!  I did not want the square die to cut off the handle, so when positioning the die, I now could pull the spoon handle atop the die!  The square die cut was shaded before removing the die with a sponge dauber and Old Paper Distress Ink.  I got my trusty Kaisercraft Gingerbread paper pad out and came across remaining page scraps.  So glad I did not throw way the wonderful page band and the little square that contained the word JOY!  Aha! Perfect elements to use with the Spellbinders Captivating Square die cuts!

Here is the book I was referring to. It's a heartwarming story about a young woman who visits her elderly Aunt for a cup of her special Christmas Tea.  The young woman had not been to see her Aunt in quite some time, and something magical happened!  I won't give the whole story away, you will have to read it!  It truly is a great Christmas read!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I appreciate your visits!  Be sure to stop by Sharon's BLOG to keep up on The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's product updates and wonderful ideas!

Sour Cream Treat Containers!

Happy Thanksgiving SALE at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! Click HERE!

Need a quick treat container?  How about a table place setting surprise?  Write your guests names on the container tags so they can find their own seat at the table!  However you choose to use these nifty paper creations, the recipients will surely know they are special!  I created three samples for you today!  Lets get started!

I chose Kaisercraft's Holly Bright 6 1/2" paper pad for all the sour cream containers.  I trimmed each sheet down to a 5" x 5" square and placed a line of ScorTape along the left paper edge. I lined up the left paper edge to the right paper edge, pressing to secure adhesive, but not creasing the paper.

I placed the seam line down the middle of the container as shown in the above photo.  Now to secure the ends! Placing ScorTape inside the inner paper edge does the trick.  Be sure to wait until you have added the container's contents before sealing the other end!  Ask me how I know!

Remember the Paper Crimper?  I have not used this tool in ages! I love the texture it gives as well as reinforcing a strong hold on the ScorTape.  Voila' container complete! It's really that simple. HERE is a link to the Splitcoaststampers Sour Cream Container Tutorial.  There are some really cute ones in their gallery link too!

Now on to container embellishing! Kaisercraft paper pads give coordinating punch out pages and I utilized them for the tags attached to the sour cream containers. A bit of trim, ribbons, sugar dots, and string and there we have it!The acorn container paper is one of the paper pad's speciality sheets, the acorn image is a raised embossed design and is so much prettier than in the photo! Love Kaisercraft's Holly Bright Paper Pad for this type of project.  I had to look no further for special paper and tags!

Wishing you and your loved ones a Blessed Thanksgiving.  Be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's SALE this week!  And Sharon's BLOG for all the store product updates and project ideas!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Merry Christmas Kaisercraft Poinsettia Card!

Good Friday Evening!  Hope you had a fantastic week!  I'm working on Christmas cards and have a really simple card that is elegant, but quick!  That's what we need, right?  The Kaisercraft poinsettia image is stamped with Versamark Watermark ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  The detail in this image is gorgeous and the embossing highlights them perfectly!  The stamped panel has a punched half circle underneath the bow.  That way I got the seam binding bow where I wanted, over more to the right of the panel edge!  What about the gold leaf sequins?  Yes, I know leaf sequins,  LOVE them!  And what a bargain, you can get 50 of them for 75 cents!  I feel that little sequin detail completes the card design!

This is one of the sentiment images found in Kaisercraft's Christmas Carol and is stamped with VersaFine Black Ink.  It looks fabulous too!   Voila, and the card is complete!  I hope this gives you inspiration to get started or finish up your Christmas cards!

Thanks for stopping by!  I so appreciate your visits!  Check out Sharon's BLOG for all The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store new product updates along with ideas and inspiration!

Season's Greetings meets Kaisercraft Gingerbread Paper Pad! Stamp Simply Style!

Welcome to Wednesday!  That means I have a post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  Today features a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card that utilizing the darling papers from Kaisercraft's Gingerbread line!  I know you have read this before, but I LOVE Kaisercraft paper pads. A few important facts about these paper pads worth noting:
  • Gingerbread paper pad contains twenty-four single-sided 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch designer papers (two each of twelve designs)
  • Eight 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch spot varnish papers (two each of four designs)
  • Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch foil papers (two each of two designs)
  • Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch die-cut pages

The darling Santa image is an actual page in this paper pad.  I trimmed it to 4' x 5 1/4" leaving a border of the cardstock card base. The stripe and dotted papers are from the Gingerbread paper pad too!  And that darling little red tree tag is one of the paper pad's die punch outs.  The only stamped feature is the sentiment on the same Santa designer paper!  A few sequins (I used two sizes) with adhesive pearls, seam binding bow tied with burlap string and voila' we're done! I love using Tombow Mono Liquid Glue for sequins, especially!  The bottle has an applicator on each end giving easier application for tiny items such as sequins!  This is such a doable easy way to get those cards completed, using a paper pad with die cuts and decorative pages! Happy holiday card making to you!

Let It Snow! Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Style!

SHARED AT THE FOLLOWING:

Welcome!  Today is The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Wednesday's post and I created a 4 1/4" square Christmas card!  I used a "new to me" item on today's card, Spellbinders Precious Metals Foil Paper!  I die cut the silver color with the two smallest dies from Spellbinders Lacey Pennants Die Set to create a collage of trees!  I think they look like cookie sheets!  Loved how easy this was to do!  I then embellished them with sequins using TomBow Mono Adhesive! Have you tired this adhesive?  It has a fine point that allows a tiny drop of glue (perfect for sequins), with the opposite end having a glue dispensing type glider!  LOVE it!  I didn't stop tree embellishing there, I added a tiny Kaisercraft adhesive pearls!

The stamped sentiment is found in JustRite's Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments Set.  I then die cut it using a banner die included in the Spellbinders Lacey Pennants Set.  I love the ribbon colors and that Prima Pink flower is the perfect touch for the ribbon embellishment!  Voila', Let it Snow!

It's Gingerbread Time! Merry Christmas Everyone! Stamp Simply Style!

Greetings!  Welcome to my The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Wednesday post!  I've expanded on the foam gingerbread idea!  I posted this little guy HERE.  So, of course I had to make a gingerbread girl, using the same designer paper and punch outs from Kaisercrafts Gingerbread paper pad.  I created a dress and apron for this gingerbread girl.
How about a decorative gingerbread man with a punch out tag that a name could be written on and then placed on that persons wrapped package? The poinsettia is cut using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia dies with the edges shaded using Tea Dye Tim Holtz Distress ink. I love the use of the white ZIG paint pen here, not for a smile but for faux stitching!
Lets practice lacing and tying bows! The bow ribbon is thread through the punched holes and tied into a knot , so they will not come out easily.  The paper cording is knotted so that when lacing begins, it cannot be pulled through!

I wanted you to see a close up of the threading end of the lacing paper string!  I wrapped it with scotch tape and cut it at an angle.  Obviously this activity is for an older child that can handle lacing and learning to tie.

The supplies used are listed below with links to view.  These foam gingerbread people are fabulous and have many uses.  Easy and fun, that's what we need this time of year!  Remember to check our Sharon's BLOG for all store product updates and inspiration!  Thanks for visiting!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Says this darling Gingerbread Man!

During The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's 12 Days of clean and simple (CAS) Christmas ideas, there is a posting everyday at 8am and another at 8pm.  Well, today I have both time slots!  So if this is your first stop to Explore.Dream.Discover. today, please check out THIS post for a Ho, Ho, Ho! ornament card!

If you are looking for darling, easy, and all around fun, this guy fits the bill!  Sharon has these 7" x 5.5" foam gingerbread men now stocked in her store, HERE!  HERE are two samplers Sharon has put together especially for this Gingerbread paper pad!

Kaisercraft's Gingerbread paper pad is the perfect companion to use for embellishing!  You can see I cut out a vest, added pockets, button line, and a bow tie using the paper! The lollipop is used with punch outs included in the paper pad!

A reminder about Kaisercraft paper pads:
  • Gingerbread paper pad contains twenty-four single-sided 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch designer papers (two each of twelve designs)
  • Eight 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch spot varnish papers (two each of four designs)
  • Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch foil papers (two each of two designs)
  • Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch die-cut pages

I used ScorTape to adhere the RicRac trim to the foam.  I also utilized ScorTape to attach the paper vest which worked perfectly!  Those awesome sugar dots stickers say put too on the foam!  They are perfect, no? A quick note about the smile on this creation, I used a Zig white paint pen!  Again, can I say perfect?

I have so many ideas using these gingerbread men!  How about an ornament? A gift bag tie on? Monogrammed? Joining the hands to create a banner?  Children would have a wonderful time creating using these foam gingerbread cuties too! Oh my, yes the possibilities endless!   THANK YOU for stopping by today!  I appreciate your visit!

Ho, Ho, Ho! Santa Card! Stamp Simply Style!

Welcome! We are on Day 11 of Sharon's 12 days of CAS Christmas! So how about an ornament shaped card today? The base is cut using Spellbinders Heirloom 2011 dies as is the water colored paper.  Kaisercraft Gingerbread Paper is perfect for this jolly Santa image! All the dots add a festive touch, no? Have you used those new SugarDot stickers from Prima?  Oh my, I just may be adding another item to my fav list! These dots come four colors per card, all being various sizes!

Just LOOK at all the holiday goodness in Kaisecraft's Gingerbread Stamp Set!  I have to say, the package and banner images could be used all year long!  I stamped my images onto watercolor paper using StazOn Black, as I knew I wanted to watercolor using Ranger Distress Markers.

I watercolored the images with a water brush and distress markers.  I applied my marker color onto clear acetate, picked up small amounts of color with the water brush, then applied to stamped images.  Adding more water helped wash out & lighten color and adding more color created the shading I was trying to achieve.  After applying a small amount of tacky glue onto Santa's fur and facial hair, I sprinkled clear rock candy distress glitter.  It's so fine, in the sense of texture of glitter!  LOVE!  Die cutting, adding ribbon & embellishments, trimming out sentiment letters, and voila! Card is complete!

I'm returning at 8pm tonight with another clean and simple idea!  See you then!

It's that Cardinal on a Pine Branch!

Remember this wonderful Stampavie Cardinal on a Pine Branch?  I colored several when I created this card HERE.  I wanted to achieve different look, and decided to incorporate Kaisercraft Holly Bright Designer Paper for this card.  I'm posting information regarding Kaisercraft Designer Paper Pads below!  Until I started using Kaisercraft paper pads, I did not realize specialty papers and die cut pages were included. A great value, check out more HERE.

  • Holy Bright Kaisercraft paper pad contains twenty-four single-sided 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch designer papers (two each of twelve designs)
  • Eight 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch spot varnish papers (two each of four designs)
  • Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch foil papers (two each of two designs)
  • Four 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch die-cut pages

That darling cardinal tag is one of the die cuts included with this paper pad.  I used a simple silk ribbon gathering for the ribbon embellishment and tied the ribbon wrap with mini cording.  I like to knot the ends of the mini cording to prevent fraying.  The card base is cut using a Spellbinders Labels Eight die to allow the Holly Bright paper to show. I raised the Spellbinders Circle die cut Stampavie Cardinal on a Pine Branch Copic colored image using Therm-O-Web foam dimensionals. Burlap String and a few Kaisercraft adhesive rhinestones finishes the card design!  The list of Copic marker colors are HERE.  Also, I added a white dot for the cardinal's eye with the ZIG White Paint Marker.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

***Thank you for all the questions & comments regarding this type of ribbon treatment!
I used it on a card last week HERE.  I will be writing a tutorial with pictures to share next week!
Hopefully that will help answer any questions!
It's so very easy and works best with silk ribbon.
Not only does The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store
have great silk colors and sizes,
Sharon also has put together silk ribbon samplers
And that is a great way to go to build your silk ribbon supply!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Welcome to Monday!  I know it's now August, but I'm still in a "Christmas in July" mode, so I have a Christmas card to share with you today!  It uses that fantastic My Minds Eye WinterWonderland Stamp Set that I used last week on the Christmas Tag Sets I posted HERE.  This set is on sale at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and the more I use it, the more I LOVE it!  Lets get started!

The snowman is darling, no?  I picked up on the star designer paper in the Webster's Pages Royal Christmas Pack. The papers in this pack are beautiful!  That led to the star die cuts and coordinating several more of the papers into the card design.  LOVE the stamped sentiment too!  I tell ya, this set is wonderful!  The Webster's Pages Royal Christmas Paper is on sale too!  All the products used on this card are listed below!  I hope you like this frosty card as much as I enjoyed creating it!
