Tania baking

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today it's time for a new challenge over at our RoP/BnW Challenge blog. It's our talented Jodi who challenge us to make a card using the colours Orange, Brown and Green. We should also combine it with a sketch. Luckily I've made one over at our BnW blog - so for me it was easy...*lol*
I coloured sweet Tania with my copics. Isn't she a darling. For my DPs I used both SU and some that I got at our local scrapevent Frändescrappen. Again - tried to keep a clean layout and of course - needed to use my leaf punch AGAIN... Hope you are not getting bored yet....hihi.........

Well - if you want to see the sketch that I was using - pop over to our BnW blog.
Also - please make sure that you check our RoP/BnW Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT girls have been up to.

Kram and hope you will have fun!

Stich it up

is our new challenge over at RoP/BnW challenge blog. It's our talented Rosette who is challinging us this time.

Well - I have been using faux stiches on all my cards earlier, but now I had to buy a Janome mini sewing machine - could not say no anylonger *lol*. Isac and I will use it together - that's at least what I told hubby...hihi.... (I have a regular one, but that one is almost never used - sadly enough).

I wanted to colour our new stamps from our BnW Fall release this weekend. The first one that I fell in love with is Hearty Thanksgiving. Don't you think they are just adorable. I can really picture Isac and his little cousin Julia on a bench together like this one day.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Sweden, but I wish we could. It always seems like a wonderful and cosy family-get-together.

Coloured the image with my copics. I used the Eskimo Kisses Glazed Apple DP and then it was time to use my mini machine. I'm in love already ;-). I also used a tiny bit of the Eskimo Kisses Rooftop DP as well and my Martha Stewart heart lace punch - also another thing that I truly love. Added button and flowers.
Well - what do you think about my first "real stiches" card? I know that I will be doing this a lot more now.

Make sure that you check out what the rest of the DTs have been up to and hope that you want to play along. You find all the details for the challenge here.

Fall colours - Orange, Brown and Warm Red

This time it's my turn to host the challenge over at RoP. Well - it's getting colder here and we have not had that much of Summer. However - I do love the Fall - especially when it's a sunny and warm one with crisp air. So for this challenge I want you to use Fall colours - Orange, Brown and Warm Red.
I wanted to make a masculine card and therefore I decided to ink up cute Ian. Coloured him with my copics and cut him out. Used my SU DPs for the different layers and chalked around the edges with pine cone. Added the red leaves behind Ian - so that it looks like he is walking with the leaves falling down. Oh - and some metallic brads.
Hope you like it and I am looking fwd to see what you will make with this colour challenge. Also - remember to check out what the rest of the RoP DTs have been up to.

Folklore love

This weeks challenge over at Roses on Paper is set by our sweet Lim. She wants us all to use hearts on our cards. Well - if I have a weak spot - then it is for hearts - in all forms.
I went for Tilda with braid.

I coloured her with my distress inks - yes I purchased distress inks (the re-inkers) some time ago - but have not had the chance to play with them. I really need to practise to get the result I want. So I better start using them more often ;-)

Used my Basic Grey DP and cut out some hearts with my SU punch. Added the flower (with the heart spacer) and added a heart charm. Needed some bling - so I had to put a few dew drops there as well :-). The sentiment is from SU.

Well - hope you would like to play with us and make sure that you visit the RoP site to see what the rest of the DTs have been up to.

Also - remember to stay tuned on the Belles'n Whistles blog - so you know when to spend the money you've been saving up for those cute E Bell images coming soon. I hope you have not missed the Sneak-a-peak puzzles? Well - if you have - don't worry - Summer has two more images to reveal and give away, which means four more days left of Sneak-a-Peek puzzles!

Going to the beach?

Well - that's what I want to do again - after having such wonderful weekend - but now it's time to spend the day in the office again. Can't get too tanned of course ;-)

Anyway - Jodi is hosting our challenge over at RoP this time. She want us to make a Gate Fold Card with sewn, hand or faux stitching. I have not done a Gate Fold Card in ages. Why is that? They are so fun to make - but I guess it takes time to keep up with all the new things going on in the crafting world - that we tend to forget what we we learned being new to this wonderful hobby.

I decided to colour this cute little beach Anya from the stamp set Rain, Snow, Shine. I was lucky to get this one stamped from my sweet and talented friend Tammi - thank you dear! Summer has these stamps in store now - so guess what I will be ordering ;-)

I coloured my cool beach Anya with my copics. Used the Basic Grey "Lime Ricky" for my DP.

Added some Prima flowers and spacers. Used my SU slot punch so that I easily could tie the ribbon from SU.

Here's what the card looks like - half open. As you can see - I used the matching DPs on the inside of the card as weI hope you like it. Please pop over to our RoP challenge site and join us. Also - remember - you have until tomorrow - June 30th to apply to be one of the Guest DTs for

Pink, Green and Yellow

that's the new challenge over at RoP. I wanted to make something else this time - and went for a smaller card size, but with a butterfly on the top (hope you can see it). I got the idea from Mirkwood Designs. Used the new lovely DPs from Basic Grey. Coloured little Flutter Anya with my copics and made her hair really dark this time. Isn't she a cutie?
Added dew drops to the flowers and on the wings of the butterfly. Also added some hearts (cut out with my SU punch) to the wings. I used the center kisses as the butterfly antennas.
Limeade ribbon as for the flower cut out with my SU punches. Added some velcro to make the butterfly hold the card together.
Here's a pic of the inside of the card as well. We gave it to my Mother yesterday - since we celebrated Mother's Day in Sweden yesterday.
Looking fwd to hear from you and hope will play with us at RoP.

One for the boys

That's what our lovely DT-friend Peta set up as the next challenge for us over at RoP.
Well - being a Mom to a cute little son - this is easy - right ;-) Well- nope - since Peta did
not want any cute embellies, flowers etc on the card.

Hm.......well - luckily I have some wonderful stamps with cute little boys (I know that people keep on asking for more images of men and boys - but then in the end - it's the cute little girl stamps that sells. I guess it's because of the fact that we want to put as much flowers, embellies etc on the cards - right - or???)
So I coloured little Edwin with my copics - using more brighter Summer colours (Well - I do hope that the sweet owner of RoP - Summer also loves them...hihi.....sorry - could not help myself...)
Used my DPs from Basic Grey and SU. Chalked around the edges with pine cone. Wanted several layers as you can see. Added buttons from stash and instead of thread - I used the metallic green flowerthread that I purchased in our local flowershop.

Then I added the little train, suitcase, tickets and railroad crossing - that I had received from Lim. So now it could be used for a boy who likes to play with trains or for someone leaving for a long journey.
Hope you like it and please note - no blings, no stickles, no flowers..... ;-)
Sorry also for the bad pics - but the card was finished late yesterday - so not the best time
to take pics...
Kramis and pop over to our challenge and join in.

Flowers for Mom

Time flies and Mother's Day is getting closer. Well - it's closer for some of you around the blog world. I still have plenty of time - since we don't celebrate Mother's Day until May 31st this year in Sweden.

We always celebrate Mother's Day the last Sunday in May. The reason why we are a couple of weeks later is apparently because of the fact that Spring arrives later in Sweden - and also then the possibilitiy of picking fresh wild flowers.
I needed to see why we have different dates around the globe and got it all from Wikipedia.
So if you want to know more about it - read all about it on Wikipedia.

This weeks challenge over at RoP is hosted by me. I realized that it was a very long time ago since I made a folder card. Actually - I think it is almost 1.5 years ago - when I first started this cardmaking hobby of mine ;-) So this week the challenge is to make a folder card with Mother's Day in mind.

For my card I used pink cardstock as the base. Then one layer of DP from SU - in Choc chip - love brown and pink together - don't you?? Then I added a layer of DP from Inkido with a lot of loving and caring Swedish words.
Then I picked another brown DP from SU and cut it out with my nestie. Coloured my little Miss Anya from GF and also cut her out with my nesties. Chalked around the edges with pine cone. Added some pearl hearts from stash, dew drops and a glazed brad for the "lock". I attached some velcro underneath - so that you could easily open and close the folder.
Needed to add some my new roses for the final touch :-)
Below you see a pic of the folder card from the side.

I plan to put in some gift vouchers for flowers or something for the garden at my parents place. Well - I still have plenty of time to think about what to put in there, but I guess many of you don't - so what are you waiting for - pop over to our challenge and join us.
Also - I will have a quick tutorial up on our RoP tutorial blog on Wednesday - for those of you that hasn't had the time to ever make one.
Looking fwd to see what you will come up with and please - make sure that you check out the rest of the DT projects.

Live

Summer decided to extend the candle challenge that we had at RoP. I must say that all the ladies that participated made amazing candles. Wonderful! Well - now it's time for a new challenge and this time it's hosted by our sweet Susan.

The challenge is a colour challenge - Aqua, Butter Yellow and Peach.

I decided to ink up one of my TGF stamps - Rockstar Anya for the first time. I really love these one's. They are so much fun to colour.
I coloured her with my copics and cut her out with my nesties.Papers from both SU and Basic Grey Paper Pads. Ribbon from SU. Added a little button from my stash and a ticket with Live - working for both a live concert or live your life ;-)) Added some dew drops as blings.

Don't forget to pop over to our Challenge site and see what the rest of the DTs been up to + of course - we want to see what you will make out of this challenge. Please note that there are some time difference between Sweden and Hawaii - so if the challenge isn't up yet - it will be soon :-)

Hope your week has started well.

Happy Easter

Can you believe it - it's almost Easter!!

Wow - time flies. I guess I better start on some Easter cards now...hihi...... Well - I normally do not send as many Easter cards as I tend to do for Christmas - but it's always fun to bring something when we celebrate Easter together with family and friends.

So I hope this candle will go perfect togeth
er with another Easter gift and candy (of course:-) This is my first candle ever.... Well - I wanted to try for sooo long, but thank's to Iris: no more excuses - I had to make one. She is hosting this weeks challenge at RoP.

I wanted to make this short, but rather "chubby" candle...hihi..... So I decided to cut of Tilda with bunny from the Magnolia Easter collection. Coloured them on white tissue with my SU markers and then transferred the image to the candle. Ribbon from SU, Prima flowers and brads from RoP. I wanted them in the bottom - so that they did not have to be taken off from the start. Added some stickles too on the image (after it was transferred) - not sure though on how stickles burn, but you always have to have some excitment don't you ;-))

Hope you want to play along and show us your candles. Also - make sure that you do not miss the next Magnolia - "Chasing butterflies" collection that's on their way. Summer has them up for pre-order - so pop over and make sure that you get some.

Glad Påsk = Happy Easter

This weeks challenge over at RoP is set by our sweet Jodi.

Must admit - this was a perfect way to actually use all my "left-overs". I guess many of you do the same - save the last piece of the paper - thinking - I will use it later ;-)
Well - now here's your chance. The patchwork was so fun to do - and I hope you also will like it.

Not sure if you can tell - but I added some scrappers floss in between + miniglass pearls. The card is now very heavy...hihi....

Coloured Tilda (from the Easter collection) with my distress inks - yes - I caved .... now I am not only the owner of SU markers, Copics, aquarelle colours - but also distress inks (I use the re-inker bottles). It was fun of course - but I need more practise though.

Added flowers and ribbon (from SU) - to make it look like Tilda is sitting in a bouquet ;-)
Hope you'll like it.

Flowers for you

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was great. We had a small scrapevent here in our little village and it was tons of fun. The time just went by so quickly - can you imagine - we made cards from 11.00 - 23.00 and had meals and snacks in between of course. It was just perfect! It's really fun to hear how quiet a room of 15 ladies can be - when everyone is focused on their project ;-))

I am a little late this time, but we have a new challenge for you over at RoP. This week is hosted
by our sweet Rosette and she's made this wonderful sketch for you to try out. I decided to colour another sweet Miss Anya - can't really get enough of them ;-) They are so fun, funky and sweet at the same time. I coloured her with copics, added some shimmerz.
The DPs are from the Basic Grey Paper pads - love them too ;-)) (Summer also have some new one's in her store - so check them out)
I moved some bits and pieces from Rosette's sketch and added some pink puncinella (you can see that the flash reflected against it). Flowers and center kisses also from RoP. I also got to use my ribbon and punch from SU.

Well - not it's time for Isac's bedtime stories - so I have to go. I will check in on you later tonight.

I decided to use the Angel Anya for my card and coloured her with copics. Shimmerz as her rouge ;-) DPs are from SU, sentiment from SU. Charm "Follow your heart" from my sweet friend Marlene. I hope you'll like it and please check out the rest of the DT cards this week. I am sure your going to love them.

Ticket of love

Can you believe it - it's already February! Amazing - it was not long ago since we all were making X-mas cards like crazy...

Well - now you better start with your Valentine Cards and hopefully this weeks challenge at RoP will get you started. This week is hosted by my sweet DT friend Peta in Australia. She is having a heat wave down there and I think that's why she want us all to be feeling some warm love ;-) The challenge is to make a Valentine Card and use the masking technique.
For more details - please check our RoP Challenge site.

Talking about heat - well I almost burnt the whole card this time. I chalked the edges around the image, but then I decided to use some matches to burn the edges - well...it could have ended with burnt love instead, but I made it......sigh...
I hope you will find the time to create a stunning card for this weeks challenge.

Tons of hugs,

Anki

RoPs first challenge for 2009

Good evening ladies!

The 3rd challenge is now up and running on RoP. I am a little bit late with this posting, since my batteries are not fully charged yet (due to my terrible cough that I do not seem to be able to get rid off).

The third challenge is set by our own talented Susan . It's a colour change and she picked White, Grape and Evergreen.

I must say Susan - you really made it hard for me...hihi..... Normally not the colours that I use, but I am sure that you ladies will make some stunning cards.

I ended up colouring Edwin with Lantern with my SU markers and aqua brush.
All papers, snowflakes and lace are from stash (the one with green and grape stripes are called Apple stripes - purchased in our local shop Pysselakuten).
Dew Drops from RoP
Sentiment - printed in "grape" on our new computer that Santa came with.

Please remember to use a Magnolia, Whiff of Joy, Rachelle Ann Miller or Sarah Kay stamp to participate. All these brands are available at Summer's shop Roses on Paper.

So what are you waiting for? :-) Head over and link to your entry on our Challenge Blog !
Also - don't forget that the sale at Roses on Paper is still going on! Happy shopping ;-)
