Treasure Sale Finds

St Matthews Church had their annual treasure sale this past weekend. I only went on Saturday. Since I had Robbie with, I didn't get much. It was hard to dig when he kept wandering off.

The videos are for Ryker and since I did not notice Pink Panther was damaged, my sister is going to buy him. She found the Jellycat alligator.

I debated about keeping the deer. However, I listed them on ebay.

The John Lennon elephant was dirty so I didn't list him yet. Same with the Gund yellow musical bear. But I did list the other two musical toys.

I found two Harry Potter items. They had a Golden Snitch lamp but one of the wings was broken and I want to say it was missing the bulb. It's a shame because they seem to sell high on ebay.

Most of their older "antique" items were priced high. I did get these two squeak toys though. Some of these toys can sell for a lot on Ebay. The bear one does not squeak but the mouse does.

I sold one of these shape sorters awhile back. The handle on this one is broken but I would think one could superglue it back together.

and Baby's First Bear

I wish I would have gone back on Sunday as they had boxes of plush under the sell tables. They were huge boxes and I didn't know if they would allow me to dig through them. I think I will ask next year.

Church Treasure Sale Finds

The church by our house is having their annual treasure sale until Saturday. I didn't even know it had started but we drove past there this morning and I saw the signs. I'm so grateful we did because I probably would have never known and missed out on two great items. I'm so thankful. God is good.

I thought I would never find one of these, let alone 2. I almost wet myself. They are Fisher Price bunny security blankets. They are from the 70's I think.

I also picked up the Fisher Price delivery van. It has all the letters inside. I don't think they sell very high but I seem to sell them quickly. There is suppose to be a mail guy and a cart thing but mine are missing. I won't pick them up unless they have all the cards. (13 because they are double sided)

All these items will be listed in my Ebay store here Most of my items have Best Offer so let's make a deal.

Thrifty Finds

I'm not really sure what I want to do with this vintage milk crate. The tag from the thrift store said it was from Golden Dairy. Right now, I have it sitting on my library catalog holding my scale and paper. (If anyone has a front for the library card catalog drawer, please message me)

I normally don't buy Pyrex but the price was too good to pass on this small yellow bowl. Most pieces I find have dishwasher damage or are badly scratched. This piece has some scratches but isn't bad.

I'm debating whether I should sell these records together as a group or with my Fisher Price record player. I have had that player for quite some time and wish someone would buy it. It did sell at one point and after I printed the label, the buyer messaged me all irate calling me shady because she had asked me to cancel the transaction. I never got a message prior to that one and when I called Ebay, they said she never asked to cancel. Turns out she found a cheaper one.

A Barney phone that oddly sells for around $15 on Ebay

Another Paddington rattle. My first one is wearing a yellow hat.

The replacement silo for the Fisher Price barn. Hopefully the next time I go, they have the barn and animals.

Leo from Little Einsteins

My trip would not be complete without a plush. So here is Snoopy.

The thrift store puts all their little toys into bargain bags. Usually, there is only one or two things I want from each bag but I have to purchase the whole bag. I have been saving the baby toys to put into a lot. Here is one lot I have.

Six Days

Six days without a sale on Ebay. What is one to do? Well, go shopping of course. Monday, I went to Goodwill. It is getting harder to find anything for resale as their prices have gone up quite a bit. For example, I used to be able to buy baby blankets for half the cost they are now. Since the thrift store by my house barely gets any blankets, I have no choice but to buy them at GW.

I found this Mickey Mouse baby blanket. Normally I will not buy Mickey as the market seems to be saturated but this was a Biederlack and they seem to sell for good money. I still have my large Mickey blanket from when I was a kid and those are selling for around $90. I would sell mine but it is in bad shape.

I also found this Marshall Fields blanket. There is only one other listed on Ebay that I could find and that seller is asking a ridiculous amount in my opinion.

I also picked up this new security blanket from Hallmark.

I thought these bookends were cool. Too bad they are not vintage or made in Italy as those were selling high.

The last time I sold one of these musical stages, the price had really dropped. I'm glad to see the price went back up.

Yesterday, I walked over to the thrift store with Robbie. He is in a Special Needs classroom and they did not have school yesterday. He found himself a Spiderman toy computer. He loves those things. As I was checking out, I spotted a Coach purse locked in the glass counter. Normally, I can spot a fake a mile away. This one however looked real. I asked to see it. My hunch was correct and it was real. I am trying to sell it on FB as Ebay is over saturated with them and all it takes is one competitive person to report it as fake. I'd rather not take that chance. If it doesn't sell, I will keep it for myself. You can join my FB group here. It is open to anyone and I will gladly ship if you pay for shipping.

I also found a blanket and some toys at the thrift store. You can view these items in my Ebay store here

Some Thrifty Finds

It's been awhile since I posted some of my finds. Here are a couple of things I found over the last month.

There is a lady at the thrift store that saves me old Fisher Price toys. I almost did not come in that day but wanted to check real quick and she had save me these 3 play sets. The School House I did not take photos of but here are the other two.

Fisher Price Family Home

Fisher Price Family farm

She also sold me a big bag of people and furniture that I'm keeping for Ryker. I have not listed these 2 play sets but if you are interested, send me a message.

Toy Story blanket

When my son saw this My Buddy doll, he said "That is one scary doll"

I sold this Rainbow Brite doll on FB for $20 I thought she was vintage but she is the talking one from 2004

A vintage afghan. My mom used to make these when we were younger.

I don't have much luck selling these, but I have a hard time passing up vintage bibs. This is the third one I have found still in the package.

I found a recalled Snuggle bear. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him since I can not resell him and I would not want to redonate him. The eyes and nose are suppose to come off easy but I tried biting them off and they did not move. Guess those babies have a stronger bite.

I love Paddington but I have a hard time selling him. The market is over saturated.

I read in one of my FB Ebay groups that these oxycisors can go for big money. So far no bites on mine.

Church Sale Finds and Where The Hell Did My Reading List Go?

Apparently blogger has decided I waste too much time reading blogs and removed my reading list. It's been gone for a few days now. I think I can still get to blogs off my blog list but who knows. I also got approved for adsense but can not figure out how to put them at the bottom of each individual blog. It's at the very bottom of my page and I doubt anyone can even see it.

Anyways, the church by my house had their annual garage sale. I was hoping to get there bright and early on Thursday but it was raining and I didn't go until 1. I was surprised there was still some good stuff left.

I've learned a lot about Little Golden Books over the past few days. Like for example, the copyright date does not help to determine edition. The copyright usually means the copyright of the story not the book.  The oldest books have the printing listed in the front. The next books, the A determined the first edition. It can be found on the last page of the book almost in the spine. A is first, B is second and so on. I do actually have some first editions but a lot of them are newer.

I was hoping to find some older Fisher Price sets but only found these.

I wish I had picked up the other bargain bags of toys because I think the floats to these Sea Ponies were in there.

a very tiny Popple

a sweet vintage baby doll

and some more books

I found out yesterday the church donated their left overs to the thrift store I go to. I'm hoping the doll house they had got donated. I asked my favorite clerk and she said she would keep her eyes out for it and save it for me.
