A Valentine

A little Valentine I made for my daughter, who's away at college in Boston.  Photo taken with my phone, because I was switched from a PC to a Mac when my computer died, and I still have no photo editing software. Hoping to get back to posting after more than a year away!

REDlead Valentine Swap

Back again with another swap - this time it's RedLead Paperworks' Valentine swap, which included two sets of a tag, an ATC, and a little folder to hold them.
My first set included a cute couple from the Ancestors Collage Sheet 100.  Lots of sprays, papers, and embellies on this one, along with some stamping using the Love is the Music... stamp.
The ATC in this set uses a ticket image from the Valentines Tickets stamp.

The wings are die cut using Tim Holtz's Layered Angel Wings die from Sizzix.

Next up is a set using a lot of the same stamps and dies...

The image on the tag is from the Ancestors 48 collage sheet.

That cute little wooden key can be found here.  And an ATC for this set -

As a last little add-on, I made a couple of embellished paper clips.

I always enjoy REDleads' swaps!

Rogue Redhead Victorian Valentine

Hello!  I'm trying desperately to get back to the land of art and papercrafting.  Our family have been on the go nonstop with sports.  I did, however, get a quiet moment today to create a flowery little number in the style of a Victorian scrap Valentine.  All of the floral images are from Rogue Redhead Designs' Floriculture plate, and the sentiment is from the Snow Hugs plate.  The floral images are stamped and colored with Copics (with the exception of the ferns, which are simply stamped in green ink).  The flowers and sentiment are layered over the top of a red paper doily and some patterned paper that I ran through a Tim Holtz Postmark embossing folder.  Of course, everything is shabby chic-ed up with some Distress Ink, in antique linen vintage photo, and tattered rose.

I hope everyone's staying safe and warm!

More CHF Love!

Another peek at the new "Love" Scrapblock releasing from Cornish Heritage Farms on Friday.  This time I stamped the block and cut out only the sentiments that were in the old-fashioned typewriter font.  I distressed the edges, and placed them randomly on the card.  The edges of the center paper were cut with the Fiskars threading water edge punch, and threaded with Martha Stewart ribbon.  The little heart is a Tim Holtz grungeboard heart painted with Distress Crackle paint in antique linen.  This one is going to my hubby... ssshhhh, don't tell him! :)

Shabby Chic Pink Persimmon Heart

I know, I know - don't yell at me, LOL!!  I just discovered this Pink Persimmon sketch challenge, and I don't have any Pink Persimmon Christmas stamps (yet!), so I had to jump ahead a little and think Valentine's.  Don't worry, I'll get back to Christmas soon :).  Anyway, this card uses this sketch for the challenge:

I used Pink Persimmon's Key to My Heart set, along with some My Mind's Eye paper, and some vintage trim and Foof-a-la buttons.  I sketched the heart myself and cut it out with pinking shears (no pun intended, LOL! - it's very late - sorry, I'm punchy!).  A simple little card that came together quickly.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
