Run, Claire, Run!

Today's Kansas City Star reports that State Auditor Claire (My Favorite Politician) McCaskill is considering the run for the Senate that I have been actively advocating since one of the original posts to this site, back in March.

There is more to consider when nominating a candidate than whether or not they can take the seat they are running for. Think a futher step: What Senate committees and sub-committeees witll the experience this candidate brings to the senate earn him or her a seat on? Claire is State Auditor! That is a shoo-in to the all-powerful Senate Finance Committee! And the Senate needs a member of her caliber and her integrity to remove Jim Talent and restore fiscal sanity and a democratic majority to the United States Senate.
