Party with Buttons, Xyron, and Anna Griffin

Hey there friends happy Tuesday,
I received these amazing buttons this week and had to use them
so I grabbed some beautiful Anna Griffin tags and went crazy!
I used Ribbons Unlimted Dazzle Ribbons and stitched the tags to
it using a zig zag stitch on my sewing machine.
How fun is this banner? I love it.
All the colors and textures make me smile.
It's not too big, not too small and used up some leftover Thickers!
Next time you want to make a banner try those old tags
or some new amazing tags! :)

TeaPot Mini Album Sew Lovely Tutorial!

Hello friends and hello Monday!
It was a lovely weekend with the boys and I squeaked out some
time being creative. Finally things have settled down before
ball season begins next weekend. :)
I wanted to share this lovely Teapot album I created using the
Creating Made Easy March Kit- and how I made it...
it was chosen for the feature projects which means EVERY KIT
have a step by step tutorial with photos on how to make it.
So I am just going to add some sneak peeks and let you know what I used.
Xyron Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit, Stickles, Clearsnap Glitter, Liquid Pearls,
Twine, Blumenthal Lansing Buttons (inside and out)
Xyron Adhesive Dots, and Ribbons Unlimited Ribbon.

Spray paint all the Teapot Chipboard pages on both sides.
I used krylon spray paint in pink.
For the cover coat edges in stickles then glitter.
Trim out 2 lace doilies (Samantha Walker cut files).
Adhere lace doily to cover using Xyron 9" Creative Station,
Cut 8 Scalloped circles, all 5.5".
Use Xyron Adhesive dots and Xyron Teresa Collins Adhesive Kit
to adhere stickers and embellishments to cover.
Add Liquid Pearls to cover Set aside.
Place scalloped circle on each page- Xyron 9" Creative Station.
Add 4X6 photo matte. Add Blumenthal Lansing Buttons and twine
one each page (check out pages below).
I will just let you go through the photos, I have each page on here.

I love how it turned out and I am NO girly girl!
BUT I had so much fun with this one.
Be sure to check it out!
See y'all tomorrow!! :)

**Giveaway** Pocket Pink Cushion Tutorial!

Oh hello there, welcome to a SAH-WEET
 giveaway and blog hop...AND tutorial!

I am here today with this fun "Pocket Pin Cushion" that I created
and I want to share just  how I created this pin cushion so you can make your own.
I also used some Button Lovers- buttons as accents.
Here are the instructions just for you!
Trim out 2 pieces of Samantha Walker fabric in 4.5"X4.5" you could make this
5" or smaller if you like but smaller would be more difficult to stitch.
Fold both piece of fabric in half and cut at angle on the bottom as shown
to create the bottom of the pocket.
Trim out 1 2"X20" strip from coordinating striped fabric.
From coordinating houndstooth fabric cut 1- 2.5"X4.5" strip.
Fold bottom of houndstooth fabric over and stitch onto pocket as shown.
Neatly stitch coordinating strip all along top of pocket.
Follow same stitching on the bottom except leave a 2-3" hole to
turn right way and stuff. I highly suggest you take a moment to
think about which way fabric will sit before stitching as I
stitched mine the wrong way and had to tear open and restitch! LOL
Flip pocket the right way through the hole.
Stuff, and stitch hop closed.
Hand sew on buttons or anything else super fun and VIOLA!
Pocket pink cushion, perfect for that seamstress in your life.
OR you could even fill it with perfume or oils for a scent bag
in a drawer.
Now for the good stuff!

~Busy Sewing With Ribbon!~

Good morning friends,
Oh it is MONDAY and the grand Monday of all for us-
it's the first FULL day of school today.

I am heartbroken and relieved all in the same breath.
I have a senior in high school, a 6th grade middle schooler and
a 4th grade elementary school child. I can't believe how fast time flies.
Seems like last week I was mopping up popsicle juice from my
nekkid boys in the backyard in Oregon.

Now one is working and one is crazy smart in 6th and one is
battling the system with Autism. I am so very blessed.

Anyways I wanted to share this dress I created using
I know it's early for fall but fall is coming!
Just a couple weeks of mommy pool time and lunches before
the weather starts to turn.
I love the color scheme from the Walker Fabrics.
Fall and candy corn here we come!
So....ribbon for dresses- what else will I use it for? Any suggestions?

~Busy Sewing Purses!~

Good morning my crafty friends,
I wanted to share with you what kept me extremely quiet last week.
I was busy hunkered down in my craft room SEWING!

IF you think that there are not people who care in this world
I have to say you are wrong. You may not know it, but there are people
who see things and randomly step up to make life a little more fun
for others. If you don't think they exist then BE THAT PERSON! :)

Maybe you can't sew a purse but maybe you can pay for the fabric
or stand up and use your craftiness for kindness.
Every kind act counts~

I have never made a real purse before,
but I had a special reason, so I decided to make 3 purses for a friend.
I had to ask another friend to help me because I don't know
her tastes very well, so we chose polka dots for this normal sized purse.

My gf April stepped up and paid for most of it too, which was so sweet.

We also found 2 VERY big patterns for 2 more awesome purses!
When I set my mind to a project I just have to hunker down and get it done.
These are all 100% cotton washed in pure soap, so they would be very
safe and non-allergenic to use.

We found this fun "postcard" print in green.
And I had the most amazing vintage wood button to use.
And yes this is an INSIDE zipper pocket! LOL
I was so proud!
I made coordinating cosmetic bags for each one.
I was really tickled how they turned out so professionally.
It was an amazingly fun project with alot of heart and soul put into it.
I found this fabric and thought it would make a cute third purse :)
This one was more basic but every girl needs a basic hug bag, you know...
to tote those kids toys, Pokemon cards, snacks or whatever else the kids
come and say "Can you hold this?" LOL
Anyways it was a fun project and I am sure it was worth it.
I handed them off to be given to her this weekend.
And that's what kept me quiet last week :) Oh and baseball of course LOL
We played last weekend and lost, but it was a FULL weekend
of baseball tournament games.
This week we began fall ball...OH to be a mother of 3 boys! I LOVE IT!
Have a wonderful Monday my friends...
Step up today and be that person who makes a difference!!
