I used 3 different sizes of the same style flower punch and after punching I put them through an embossing folder. Then I layered them and slightly cupped the petals up and added a rhinestone to the center.

I hope you've enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Anyway we hope you'll Go Wild with us and be sure to check out all the other fabulous creations over at the Digital Delights Blog!

1st Anniversary BLOG HOP at Pink Gem!!! - And a New Challenge too!

It is the 1st Anniversary over at A Gem Of A Challenge and we are celebrating with a Blog Hop!
As it is the challenges birthday we thought we'd have fun with our blog hop and so along the way you must find the Birthstone of all our team members!
You should have to come to me from Sharon, if you didn't then please go back to the start at A Gem Of A Challenge and start hopping along so you don't miss any of the chances to win!
Remember you need to gather the name of the Birthstone of all the Design Team Members to be in with a chance of winning the Grand Prize!
After looking at my card and commenting be sure to hop over to Caroline to carry along with the fun!
Now my birthstone, I could make it easy and tell you but first I'll give a few clues:
My birthday is in November
In it's purest form it is colorless but....
It is sometimes Blue....... but can be other colors too.
The Orange version is the state gemstone of Utah and the Blue version the state gemstone of Texas (luckily I live there as I have one on my finger!)
But making it even more eerie is that the one on my finger is called a "London" ***** (see it has 5 letters) and I'm English and London is the capital city of England!
If you haven't worked it out yet then CLICK HERE FOR THE ANSWER

OK of course there is also our challenge and this week we'd like to see GEMS on your card along with the wonderful sketch that you can find on the A Gem Of A Challenge blog.
Also over there are all the details of the hop and you can see the wonderful prizes on offer!

Challenges:

This is a brand new stamp and one of the cutest baby ones I've seen in ages! My next door neighbor is pregnant right now and as soon as I find out what the little one is going to be I'll be coloring up another card right away!
Now it's time for you to hop over to Caroline and carry along with the fun! Be sure to keep looking for the Birthstones along the way :)
BTW If you didn't click the link above my Birthstone is a TOPAZ!

Simply add your name to the Link Gadget below to enter my draw to win 2 Pink Gem Designs digi stamps OR 1 set of Pink Gem Designs Digi Papers. My winner will be drawn at random on 19th Feb. All winners will also be announced on the Challenge blog on the 20th Feb

Designed 2 Delight - Bears Big Birthday Gift!

The designers at Card Ideas get to work with the fabulous designs from Faith at Designed 2 Delight and today it's my turn to showcase one of the super sweet images!
Bears Big Gift is so cute and would work well for many "celebration" cards. I have done it as a Birthday Card but it works equally well for Christmas, a Baby Shower, a Bridal Shower and more!

Challenges:
Stamptacular Sunday - Whateva/Anything Goes
Stamp Something - Digi Something
Corrosive - Button It Up
Dutch Dare - Buttons
Tuesday Throwdown - Stitching
CCEE Stampers - Punches
CRAFT - Die Cuts
Paper Play - Stamp It Out (use an image)
Stamps R Us - Animals
Alys - For The Guys
The Crafty Pad - Something for The Boys
Bearly Mine - Card For A Boy
Fuzzy Wuzzy - Happy Birthday (must have animal)
Drunken Stampers - Birthday
Crazy Challenge - Happy Birthday

Card Recipe:
Image - Bears Big Gift
Paper - Fine and Dandy True Blue pad by My Minds Eye
Medium - Copic Markers
Sentiment - Doodlebug Designs Birthday Stamps
Die Cut - Large Labels by Spellbinders
Punch - Morroco Lace Edger by EK Success
Buttons - Michaels $1 Spot
Chalk Ink - Cats Eye in Chestnut Roan
Gloss - Liquid Embossing in Clear Glass by Plaid (I got mine at Michaels)

I printed 3 copies of Bear and colored them and cut them and layered them (with the gift and arm being the only part on the top layer). I used regular white fun foam between the layers, so much cheaper than foam pads, I can cut it to size and it is a little thinner so works well when you are adding more than one layer.
I added Liquid Embossing in Clear Glass to his boots and inked around all the mats for a little extra touch.
I really love how he turned out and hope you do too:)
Be sure to check back tomorrow for a new card for Pink Gem Designs (and a very special Blog Hop too!) and then on Sunday it's Pile It On time!

Something Different from Me - A Halloween Chipboard Album

Happy Friday everyone!
In the dim and distant past before I started making cards I used to make mini albums and things to sell on eBay. It was a wonderful creative outlet and was nice as it brought in a little play money too.
When the economy took a downturn my sales fell too. I looked at other options and at that point handmade cards were still a popular item. That downturn in sales led me to try my hand at cards and I've never turned back! At first I sold those too but they too slumped but I was too hooked to stop (don't ask me how many I have in my closet). Well as it is coming up to the big Holiday shopping I thought maybe I could combine my new love of card making with my old love of mini albums and today I have the first result of that combination.
I hope you like it, it was a lot of fun to make and really got my mojo back on track ;)

Obviously I found a few challenges that it worked with too.

Sew Many Challenges - Halloween
Stampin For The Weekend - Shabby or Vintage
Gingersnaps - Punches
Paper Pretties - Brads
Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes (with a digi)
Bee Crafty - Anything Goes (with a digi)

Artful Inkables - Distressing
Stamptacular Sunday - Distress It
Totally Stampalicious - Paper Flowers

Book Recipe:

Medium - Copic Markers
Chalk Ink - Dewdrops
Flowers - Prima
Embellishments - Martha Stewart, Spare Parts
Ribbons - Michaels
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Base - Chipboard (cute to size)
Binding - Bind It All

Remember that you click on each photo for a much larger image.
This really was a whole lot of fun, so much so that as soon as I finished it I started on a Fall album and I'm hoping to be able to have that up for you to see very soon.
I hope you've enjoyed this and maybe it will give you an idea to try something a little different too.

I adore the new Martha Stewart spooky fence punch and I'm sure you'll see it on quite a few more cards before this year's Halloween crafting season is over.
I hope you'll go over to see the fabulous work of the rest of the team!
